This Year pick (if not Wemby) a mix of Sengun,KPJ ..... thoughts? Udoka as a coach and we start the 2nd Phase
Idk why a title contender would trade their 2nd best player and not get a star in return. I think they wanna maximize their window
Jaylen Brown would be a great get for this team, especially if Harden actually does return. The ideal off-season would be drafting Wemby, signing Harden and throwing a couple of picks and anybody not named Jalen, Jabari, and Tari at Boston for Brown or at Brooklyn for Bridges. Wouldn't want to trade Sengun or Martin but they wouldn't be deal breakers either.
I can see it now. Senguns jersey retires in Boston (HOF career), he becomes more popular than Bird. Stadium name changes to Turkey Garden.
Boston is a legit contender. If they get bounced in the playoffs, they’d want to add more to their core, not rebuild. Or Tatum would not be happy.
He'll be entering the final year of his current deal, has been critical of certain segments of the fanbase, and has been noncommittal about re-signing. Still an extremely unlikely scenario and Boston could probably find a better offer, but it would definitely be worth exploring.
If we end up with the #4 pick or later, and the Cs have a disappointing end to the season (aka not winning a title), I could see us putting one of the best offers on the table for Boston (if he's guaranteed to sign an extension here) #5 Pick, Sengun, and some combo (but not all of the following): future protected pick, KJ/Tate, KPJ if they want him Sengun's passing and versatility would be a great transition from Horford, who's super old. KJ would fit seamlessly as their other Wing, and they can pick Whitmore/Amen/Walker or move up a pick or 2 to get Brandon Miller. Then sign Harden and make a move for a functional rim-running C like Gafford. Gafford / Garuba / Our other '23 1st Jabari / Tari Jaylen / Tate Green / Christopher Harden / Tyty Harden would have to handle a lot of the playmaking, but Brown/Green is a killer offensive Wing duo and Jabari/Tari would fit great.
Want Jaylen Brown? Prepare to lose Green, Jabari, this years pick AND a couple more unprotected future 1st round picks.
Yeah I’m all for exploring it, but I just feeling like they could get a star in return and stay contenders
Is Boston talking about moving him?? It would take a haul to get it done (if they were interested). Pick 4 or later along with some talent might be enticing for them. The thing is, if we are going to get Harden, it then means we might look at moving Green in another deal (or Green and pick 4 for Brown and pick 36). Who knows... interesting musings!
you're delusional if you think Boston is giving up Brown for anything short of Green or Jabari + Sengun + KMJ + #4-5 pick + BK Picks + Swaps
Brown isn’t going anywhere, the Celtics are close to a chip. He’s one of their top 2 players, they’d be idiotic to break that up.
WTF lol so ideally they draft and keep Wemby, get harden and also trade for Jaylen Brown while keeping Jalen green, Jabari and Tari??? Oh and also maybe keep sengun? who the heck are we trading away in this scenario and why does Boston accept? Let’s be even like tiny bit realistic here…..
