Hah. I love Boban, but I do think he normally has value as a locker room guy. On this team though with just a couple months left, if there are other reclamation projects out there than I prefer to use his roster spot on them, but it's not the end of the world. Yeah he does have value, but I just personally as a fan haven't seen it materialized.

But Frank the Tank can be our new tank commander.

    No. True.

But annoying player managers by forcing vets to play limited minutes to mentor young guys won't help sign FAS in a few months either

I just think with the amount of young talent and draft picks this team has accumulated, they have enough pieces to trade for vets. It's too late now since deadline passed, but if they traded some of their young projects that have some value like Garuba, Christopher, TyTy, even Tari or KMJ or even KPJ and/or some future first round picks like the ones from the Nets' for some vets and showed enough improvement this season and a lot more improvement next season then future stars looking to ring chase might find this an attractive destination.

Part of the reason for our historic suckage is playing so many projects under 22 at the same time. I don't think this has been done before. I remember an opposing team's announcer express this observation. There are teams that have younger average team age but we probably have the youngest average rotation(players who play more than 20 min routinely) in the league and possibly history especially since "one and done" is far more common now than generations prior. This amount of projects at a team leads to almost everyone on the court still trying to find their role in the NBA learning the game running around like headless chickens with Silas standing around perplexed. This is simply detrimental to the growth of the talent we who think might have a long term future here.

Most rebuilds center around developing like 4 young promising pieces at a time springled in with veterans or at least players over the age of 23. We need to stick to 4-5 and have a 9 man rotation with 4-5 veterans,.good veterans that you can get by trading first round picks and decently promising telent under the age of 22.

Boban is super efficient and is currently posting the best TS% and Offensive Rating of his career. It’s not his fault he only gets 5 minutes in a game once every two weeks. Unleash the beast!

Not gonna lie, had no idea that Justin had been in the league this long. We should at least sign the mayor back.

He's unstoppable. Our best lob threat. He doesn't even needs to jump to grab the pass and dunk.

Silas should be fired just by how he treats Boban.

    velp.

    ve missed out on Dunn.

he would've been a barggin on small contract non-guaranteed for several years.

somebody wake stone up and make him sign samanic to the bruno deal.

Frank earned his contract with his part in the team meeting after the all star break, sounds like.

"The meeting the Rockets held wasn't just for the players. But coach Stephen Silas and his entire staff joined in. Silas said everyone shared their thoughts on what the team wanted the final 24 games to look like while establishing a new identity.

"Everyone had their voice heard. But no player had the most prominent impact [sic] than Frank Kaminsky.

"Jae'Sean Tate said Kaminsky challenged the team to play their best basketball to close the season, and his message resonated within the locker room."

Pretty sad when you trade for a benchwarmer a few weeks ago and he's immediately the vocal leader of your team.

That tells you all you need to know about this team. The biggest impact during a critical team meeting came from not the coach, not the head honcho, not any of the incumbent players, but a journeyman who joined the team a month ago…

They should trade for a "cabin enforcer" who smacks KPJ into shape every time he acts up...which is basically every day, I assume.

Yeah, that is honestly a little sad, that "how about we try to play our best ball?" was the game-changing idea... lol

Sometimes it takes an outsider to crack through the malaise of a tanking team.
