What are they adjusting to. He’s been in the league for now his 7th year. He isn’t coming to the rockets to be the best player. This “linsanity” thing isn’t applicable and a terrible reference. He’s been a damn good player for a long time. He was sitting on some bench without playing. He’s been a starter for years already
What are they adjusting to. He’s been in the league for now his 7th year. He isn’t coming to the rockets to be the best player. This isn’t a linsanity thing so it isn’t a question. He’s been a damn good player for a long time. He wasnt sitting on some bench without playing and now suddenly he is. He’s been a starter for years already and only folks who don’t keep up with the league wouldn’t know that
Dereck Lively has a very high bust potential. Great defender but has shown no offense to date ... which should be a huge red flag. I am not completely sure Lively will get drafted in the first round and would not be surprised if he went back to Duke and worked on his offensive game. With a modest offensive game, Lively should be a lottery pick.
Kris Murray (Keagan's brother) and Jett Howard (Juwan's son) are looking good, but we need big man. I'm not so sure about Lively. Bona and Nnaji both are long but raw.
As long as he has the ability to complete a layup/dunk he doesn't need any more offense if his ability to defend is good enough. There are dozens of NBA rotation players who are basically zeros with the ball in their hands save for the ability to shoot or dunk. The real question is how he would fare in space when quicker guards attack him.
It's easier to develop an offensive game than to teach a player to play defense. Example and I am not picking on anyone but it's harder to teach Sengun to play defense, than to teach Lively a 10ft - 15ft shot. His first few yrs, he can just be a roller.
I am less sure in today’s NBA that a defense only player has that much value. In a four/five out offense can a team live with Lively at the three point line?
Not going to lie. I totally underestimated him. I thought he'd be too slow for the NBA. But kid is an actual beast.
The Clippers are currently the 6th seed in the West but only 1 game ahead of the Timberwolves and only two games ahead of the Thunder, Mavs and Lakers. And only 3 games ahead of the Pelicans and the Jazz. It's really not out of the question for them to fall to the 9th or 10th seed. Let's hope they do.
Is Russ really starting for them? What were they thinking bringing him in, -15 in a game vs. Magic, worst on the team by far, then says this game was on him, obviously it is on him. Not complaining though, Russ owes us picks.
I'm getting tired of the Clippers winning. They're stealing the only thing to be excited about this season.
