The DA should not do anything on Tuesday. He should keep postponing and have these MAGA morons protesting for 2 weeks having to pay for food and lodging in NYC.
The funny thing about these folks is they were the same ones yelling "lock her up" for years lolol. Life comes at you fast! Buckle up!
Eh, I disagree. Happy to take a conviction even if it's for 40 hours of community service. I just want the courts to acknowledge his guilt.
This is a self admission right here that they realize Jan 6 was as bad as it was. They are trying to avoid having to defend another one if it happens.
More importantly the entire world believes he is a criminal because of 1/6 which was broadcast globally in real time. It’s important for Democracy’s survival in general that he finally be held accountable for that. Otherwise, every time an up and coming dictator in a waning democracy is trying to justify crossing the threshold, Trump and 1/6 will be used as whataboutism to justify their actions. The stakes for Democracy do rely on Trump paying a huge price for that day. I suspect there’s new information in the indictments coming (if they are coming) for Stormy hush money, but that indictment coming first would not be as effective as the indictment that should be made a spectacle of. I do suspect that Trump might be lying about NYDA’s indictment being the first to drop because he wants that one to be talked about over the GA election interference one which is the one that really matters the most along with federal charges from the SC. Then again it also makes sense that from Trumps perspective he also wants to telegraph when or not he’s going to get arrested if that is the case so that his supporters could obstruct that from happening and in his delusional mind thinks the NYDA will call it off or something. The guy is a nutcase and we do give him way to much strategic gravitas than he deserves. He could very well have been tipped off by the SS that he is going to be arraigned on Tuesday.
https://www.politico.com/news/2023/...-intimidation-threats-to-rule-of-law-00087745 Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg offered a private retort to Donald Trump’s message Saturday urging supporters to protest his expected indictment, telling office employees in an email that “we do not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York,” according to a copy obtained by POLITICO. “Our law enforcement partners will ensure that any specific or credible threats against the office will be fully investigated and that the proper safeguards are in place so all 1,600 of us have a secure work environment,” Bragg wrote, adding that the office has been coordinating with the New York Police Department and Office of Court Administration, the administrative arm of the court system in New York. Bragg added that “as with all of our investigations, we will continue to apply the law evenly and fairly, and speak publicly only when appropriate.” In his email, Bragg didn’t identify Trump by name, referring only to the “public comments surrounding an ongoing investigation by this office.”
Could a Trump indictment actually help him politically? https://www.msnbc.com/inside-with-j...help-politically-jen-psaki-explains-rcna75458 Psaki with even less to say than usual
It was just a peaceful tour of the national museum, nothing more. But it was led by democrats pretending to be MAGA! They’re dangerous!
Hunter Biden Countersues Over Laptop Files . . . That May or Might Not Be His https://jonathanturley.org/2023/03/...er-laptop-files-that-may-or-might-not-be-his/
never miss a chance to grift and con the mindless drone insurgents oh, and of course, make them feel like any consequences against Trump is actually an attack on them so they’ll be more likely to do whatever he says…the low IQ among us will fall for this no questions asked
the problem with that is it also cost NYC to have extra LEO out on the streets to deal With protests including likely keeping both pro and anti Trump posters apart. The DA and LE should do this as fast and quietly as possible. This shouldve been done years ago.
