They picked Tuesday, of course, because that's the one day hybrid workers actually show up at the office.

Anyway, I expect protests but probably also pro -arrest rallies.

I'm disappointed Georgia doesn't move first.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on early Saturday morning, writing in all caps.

"NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS
FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE,
THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!"

Trump's post comes amid increased speculation that the former president could soon be indicted as part of the Manhattan D.A.'s probe into a $130,000 reimbursement paid to former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen
for a payment he made to adult film actor Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.

IIRC, this was how he had previously broke the news of the FBI execiting a search warrant on Mar A Lago.

just to debunk convenient lies in his post

Michael Cohen was found guilty of this crime done on behest / under the direction of individual 1

convenient claim, just like his lie about Obama not born in the USA

In a clear federal overreach, the Secret Service will meddle in how sovereign states conduct their prosecutorial affairs.

“This is a huge development.” Final preparations being made to arrest Donald Trump next week. Trump will “be fingerprinted and processed like every other defendant”. The Secret Service will make the decision whether to handcuff the former president or not.

If there are riots, he deserves the most severe penalty possible for inciting them. And to be held as an accomplice for whatever crimes are committed in the process. He blatantly called for them.

I'll believe the arrest when I see it.

    Riots are more likely.

I'm interested to see how they are going to overcome the issue of statute of limitations. An illegal campaign donation (which I believe is what they are charging for the payment to Stormy Daniels) has a 5 year statute of limitations in New York. The payment was discovered way back in January of 2016 (when the Wall Street Journal published a story about it). It has been more than 7 years since the story broke. This is per the timeline provided by CBS news. Timeline: Donald Trump, Stormy Daniels and the $130,000 payment to buy her silence - CBS News

    from the WSJ:

The precise charges that the prosecutors are considering aren’t known, but the office has looked at charging Mr. Trump with a felony version of a state offense for falsifying business records. The offense is a low-level felony that carries no requirement of prison time. Charging that offense as a felony requires connecting it to another crime, which could bring a host of legal challenges for prosecutors.

Where did he call for riots? I guess all eyes on the usual riot cities of Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland and DC come Tuesday.

Nah, I think more like Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. You know his version of protesting means rioting right? There's also no guarantee he will even be arrested it's all speculation at this point.
