This is a human universal.

I grew up in a backwoods redneck swamp village surrounded by overtly racist, homophobic, militant evangelicals. I regularly got called things like ****** lover, communist, f*****. It pushed me further left than anything ever could have.

Now I live in an urban liberal enclave surrounded by overly educated, wealthy, secular 'blue no matter who' automotons who have raging savior complexes. They think I'm a sexist racist insertminorityhere-phobe corporate bootlicker. Pushed me right back to the middle.


TL;DR - I hate everyone

On a separate note, last night a “young conservative” with a straight face tried to tell me that Obama tried to run for a 3rd term, as a way to whataboutism with the fact that Trump literally tried to overturn Democracy.

If that is what you call “awakened” OP then you are waking up to a reality of a David Lynch movie.

Politics on the right isn’t “awakening” a damn person. It’s making them freaking stupid.

If you are going to parody route of playing a character on a NBA team message board, let me just tell you now that level of dedicated insincerity for something so worthless isn't worthwhile to your finite life.
