He’s a solid help defender at times, but he’s not very good on that end. He makes up for a lil with his hustle and effort

Tari was clearly better than him, both in terms of defense and 3 point shooting. I think they gave him the starting spot just to placate his dad. I like him, but he really needs to work on his shooting.
nut sure what you talking about...Sengun will be elite defender once he is playing for the real team and gets the real playing time in a real defensive system...bear in mind he only played 12 full basketball games so far in his career(35 minutes) and the rhythm and timing(as well as the role and the system youre in!) is crucial for playing excellent defense... you cant get into the rhythm and flow by reading newspapers on the bench or play elite defense when other 4 guys are slacking and dont care the guy is literally punished for playing good and is working in a hostile environment...nobody has an unlimited energy to spend, you give your best in certain areas so that you can avoid injury and still win that max contract and work on the finesses later
KJM is bad at defense but in a way that has a path to improvement. He’s got the size and athleticism to be a good defender, and you can tell he’s got good spatial awareness from his offensive feel for cutting and spacing. He just doesn’t play with intensity or solidity on defense, he’s just sort of there. I think he’s just been focused on his next contract, and that means putting up numbers on offense. I think the veteran version of KJM will be a solid defender.
It's interesting. Watching him he doesn't seem that bad, but I think the reality is a little different. He should be better.
