Honesty for me tanking Is a coping mechanism. When we lose it makes me feel good that it helps our lottery chances atleast.
When we win, it's obviously exciting. We don't have to be the worst team to get to where we want

 

We CAN'T see Wemby as a must -- there's an 86% chance we don't get him no matter how bad we finish. That's a lot of percentage points. So we're fighting over a floor of pick 5 vs picks 6 or 7.

 

Honestly it was a pretty terrible game for Smith, but he made up for it when it mattered most.

The real unsung hero tonight is Tari, he was the key to turning things around.

I mean it's against NBs teams that are trying to win. The Celtics were trying to win. This Pelicans team is trying to win. They are playoff chasing and seed hunting.

 

I am most surprised by the collective defensive effort and no hero ball in the fourth. That was very refreshing.

 

No. The team is just now healthy. Silas had no chance with a team this young having injuries to multiple starters. No coach in the nba would have this team playing better

It is not as easy as saying just enjoy the wins and the show.

The development is there and it came late.

As I've been saying, it's a deep draft, too. I think we can get somebody good anywhere in the top 8, and we're absolutely guaranteed to be in the top 8. Yes, getting Wemby or Scoot is the ideal scenario, but if we don't get them I don't mind that much potentially dropping a couple spots in the draft order in a class like this one. Not going to complain at all if we come out of the draft with an Ausar Thompson or Jarace Walker type of guy.

 

There's absolutely 0 difference between getting 5th or 7th pick in this draft.

 

Well, you have players like Eason and Jaygup who could be part time starters and they are getting spare minutes.

You are basically dooming them to have a bench existence.

There is not enough PT to go around.

These same players were healthy at the start of the season. instead Silas decided to play Bruno, Garry, EG, Twix, Tate, and Bench Sengun, park Bari in the corner, play Boban over Destiny, etc. Stop running interference for Silas. He is an ass coach and now is jeopardizing the pick.

There's an argument for Tari over KJ Martin, but there's just 2 much better young players ahead of Josh Christopher. There's just no way he should ever get a start unless there's a lot of injuries.

 

Gotta admit, I wet my panties there...
