Folks do different things for their friends. Some respond to the call for help others respond like u.

U don't sound like a reliable person to call upon if your best advice for your friend is to make a run for it when their life is potentially in danger (assuming that's how his friends describe the situation to miller)

Ex: some dude is breaking into my house/pounding on my car door, bring your gun
Your response: Make a run for it, im not going there it's too dangerous.

It's gravity. If you score 0 points and win by 25 with other team doubling you. It doesn't matter that you had 0.

It increases my concerns about Miller as a shot creator. If he scored less in that circumstance, okay. But not scoring at all? That's concerning.

As for helping friends, there's a difference between being willing to help ("I'll drive over, you jump in the car") and giving the dude a gun so he can shoot somebody. Didn't your mother ever talk to you about not going along with friends when they're making bad decisions and trying to pull you into them? SMH.

His draft stock was impacted by a whopping nothing. He could struggle the rest of the tourney and he’ll still get drafted top 5. Laughable to think he’s some borderline undrafted prospect that needs the tournament to do anything

The reality is we need that 1 or 2 pick because the drop is pretty deep from Wemby and Scoot.

that’s your decision.. that would be the route YOU would take. Doesn’t make it right or wrong.. legal or illegal..

Brandon Miller made the decision to return the gun to its rightful owner.. who then in turn made a shitty decision with the gun he owns. Miller’s decision to return the gun was HIS decision. That’s not an illegal action.

The way I see it, it’s #1 or bust. The drop is pretty deep from Wemby. Some are even saying Miller should go #2.

He's certainly a reliable playmaker at the YMCA level, but how would he be at the NBA level?

Miller isn’t MJ… that doesn’t mean he can’t be really really good.

People shouldn’t underestimate what he is going through now. He has 24/7 security and has received death threats and is dealing with the fall out of the Miles shooting… on top of the NCAA tournament pressure and being hurt.

That is a lot to deal with at 19 years old.

At least he is being guarded by kids his age or older than him.

Amen scored 28% vs high school kids lol.

I don't know if you think I'm some Amen Thompson only fan or what, but I'm really not. I'd rather have him on the Rockets than Miller as an upside play, since we suck, but I think in a vacuum, some hypothetical team that was a contender and was picking in the same range as us should probably take Miller to safely improve their team with a good shooter/decent two-way player (discounting off-the-court issues). Even if I were going for a safe pick, though, I'd much rather have Jarace Walker, who I think has a bit more upside and a bit more value right away, since defense is undervalued.

But Wemby and Scoot are clearly better than any of those three guys.

Basically I'm just against the Rockets picking Miller at any pick he's likely to be available to us. We don't need a guy who falls somewhere in between Chandler Parsons and Danny Granger. We need a guy who can carry us to a title run.

If he somehow falls to the Clippers pick, sure, take him. Just don't blow a top 5 pick on him. At least, not in this draft class, which has so many talented players who have more potential.

It all hinges on his defense really, but seems like a good player. Unfortunately with his legal issues showing us his circles, it's a no for me.

Yeah, I’m not listening to those guys. Scoot fills a need and would be a great player for us.

Obviously Wemby is who everyone wants and is by far the best player in the draft, but Scoot would at least make a lot of sense because I think most of us are tired of watching KPJ run this offense.

You are making shiit up here ....

The lawyer clearly states that Millers car was already parked prior to the arrival of the victim. You can't justify Miller blocking the car when he had no intent to do anything of the sort - according to his lawyer that is.

I really suggest you read the text messages between him & Miles, it's quite clear that he knew nothing good was going to happen.

They may not have charged him .... but they sure as hell could have

    Nah, not having it.

I've carried every day for the last 35 years ... CHL.

You have a weapon you have to apply common sense and, in this case, that didn't occur - nor is your scenario the application of common sense.

I'm not bringing my friend a weapon.

I'm not getting myself directly involved.

I'll help him get out of Dodge and avoid the situation, if something occurs as a result of that, I'm prepared.

I'm not joining his confrontation and I'm not arming him for confrontation.
