Lin was 24 in his first year as a Rocket also. And this version of Green playing next to 2012 Harden would be a more efficient player and be more important to the team than Jeremy Lin. KPJ also probably would do a lot better along side 2012 Harden and be a more productive player than Lin.

I can see it but I think a 24 year old Lin who had more experience and knowledge of the game would be a better fit than Green at 19 in terms of winning basketball.

I don’t think they would’ve ever made the 2012/2013 playoffs with a sophomore Green and rookie Jabari. But a 24 year old Lin & Parsons they did.

Man you need to go back and watch the tape. Tari was just trying to defuse the situation before it got heated. It wasn't a push.

Parsons was better than current Bari. No knock on Bari. Parsons was consistently efficient sinking that line drive 3 ball, was 5 years older more NBA ready than Bari.

Kinda tough call on Lin vs Green/KPJ. Lin was kinda opposite of them, Lin needed ball to be most effective, not greatest off-ball fit to Harden. (Which is how Pat Beverley came into existence). KPJ/Green would be better off ball next to Harden, instead of trying to BE like Harden. Greater potential than Lin, but Lin at least gave effort on D compared to Green/KPJ, which was sorely needed around Harden that time

Crazy thing to keep current team in perspective - that '13 team was considered a YOUNG team. And all their rotation players were 2-4 years older than current squad.

Yet another game where KPJ was by far the best player on the court....you have to expect for the usual suspects to start pushing for him to come off the bench again fairly soon.

Best game of the year for KPJ. I want him off the team, but he deserves credit when he performs well. Great game, great win.

KPJ aint a point guard, the sooner we find a pg to replace him the better off our team will b.

He had a nice game today though, when he's scoring like this he could role play point guard all he wants, but his scoring is inconsistent as fk.

I have the feeling we're ending up with a real PG this offseason one way or another. Harden, Scoot, Amen Thompson, VanVleet. Too glaring of a need for Stone to ignore

I actually think he can be really good as a SF with harden. Let him use his athleticism in the open court off the outlet passes or even use him as a mini rim runner

I respect that you are such a fanatical ego maniac frontrunner, and I feel those said usual suspects don't want him on the roster which would mean they don't even want him on the bench unless it is the opponents bench

KPJ was also the best player on the court the prior two or so games based on the chart you posted a while back, he just shot in the high 30%fg range, but I Am pretty sure you missed those games due to personal reasons

Honestly, I'd rather he takes fewer shots even if we end up losing. There's no future for him as a playoff calibre iso scorer, I'm only interested in whether the bulb will go on and he understands he can have a stable career in the NBA as a catch and shoot 3 & D guy with secondary playmaking abilities. Whatever the Warriors did with Wiggins is the same thing we need to do with KPJ.

Great scoring game from him but that ship has sailed. This is the end of his 4th season in the NBA and no time for a scoring flash to be a big deal. It's time for him to put the whole package together: score efficiently, pass a lot, don't hold the ball too long, give effort on defense all game. He hasn't put it together. That's what he was supposed to do this season.

hate to say it, but IMO the Lin/Parsons vs KPJ/Green debate here is very skin-pigment motivated.
Reality is neither of the four players is/was particularly great. They all have certain qualities that got them decent NBA paychecks, and they all bring different things to the table, but all four are secondary NBA characters.
