You are wasting your time. @basso believes his people had it just as bad. They pulled themselves up by their bootstraps. They worked hard for everything they had. Guess what? No one is ****ing denying that. Here is the HUGE part he is missing. They had no one actively discriminating against them and trying to stop them from doing that. Maybe one day he and people like him will get the point they sorely miss every single time they try to make that ****ing bootstrap argument.

And even the Irish, who faced a lot discrimination and weren't considered part of the "whites", got to eventually become a "white".

Not to mention those dirty Polacks....

They say he didn't have an enemy
His was a greatness to behold
He was the last surviving progeny
The last one on this side of the world
He measured half a mile from tip to tail
silver and black with powerful fins
They say he could split a mountain in two
That's how we got the Grand Canyon
Some say they saw him at the Great Lakes
Some say they saw him off the coast of Florida
My mother said she saw him in Chinatown
but you can't always trust your mother.

    you brought it up.

and my ancestors would have been delighted to have had running water, much less a drinking fountain.

Just interesting you brought up their ability to not be slaves which is a degree worse than being indentured or not having multiple generations legally discriminated against.

Privilege for the win. No different than the white trash Jan 6ers that you brought up.

Have you caught up on the Dominion/Fox News or still intentionally being ignorant?

Perhaps you should as well. Nobody said indentured servitude was a walk in the park.

Go on…. Was it voluntary or were your ancestors criminals? Fitting for a Jan 6th defender

    Please won't you sing me
A thing that will bring me right into the sky
    If you would play it
Just lay it down, say, it will help me get by
    Something to move me
Remove me and grove me, you want to know why?
    I'm so tired of oldies
And moldies and goldies, that I want to cry
    Can you play free
Or in three or agree to attempt something new
    The people need you
A seed that will lead to a hit by Varese
