Correct. It would be a way to get out of the situation and avoid future coup attempts… but instead we all know dictators of the past, present, and future just don’t do this because they think they can control the situation around them. If you get to that point, mentally you cannot fathom not having the power you have.

But that doesn’t mean that giving up the power in a peaceful way isn’t an option for the betterment of Russia. Of course it’s an option he should take if he cared about Russia… which he doesn’t.

The Obama doctrine wasn’t wrong and little has changed with Biden except for how Putin has shaped the interests since 2021.

How you do something is almost more important than the why. Yes, Russia has always had and it’s not shock that they had strategic interests in Ukraine so Ukraine would be under Russias sphere of influence and not Europe’s. Crimea to Odessa being the primary interest economically moving forward. But Crimea relies on Eastern Ukraine for natural resources etc etc.

So not a shock that Russia would have an interest and would make moves to keep the EU from aligning itself with Kyiv.

But how Putin decided to launch a full invasion of Kyiv that would kill hundreds of thousands and cause a war as big as any we’ve seen since WW2, literally threaten to use Nukes, and push for alliances that would be paramount to starting a world war….Yeah… Putin has crossed a line that does make Ukraine a strategic interest not just for the US but the entire world.

Fiji now has interest in Ukraine. Equador does. Indonesia does. Everyone does.

Anyone that does this on a whim needs to be put in check. Doesn’t mean the Biden doctrine has changed. It just means that Putin has changed things similar to how Hitler changed things with his aggression, brutality, and threats to the planet on a global scale that forced the Allies into action.

Are we there yet that the US needs to change its doctrine and declare war on Russia… imo no. But we do need to be supportive with weapons, training, and tactical consulting. However for the EU countries they certainly are on high alert. Higher alert than we are. Most of those neighboring countries are much closer to needing a doctrine that aligns themselves with Ukraine not being subjugated by a Russian dictatorship who will kill every last man, woman, and child in your country simply for a port they can use to export gas because they are too lazy to figure out how to have a strong economy and trade without just stealing from the other guy.

So again I have to ask this question of you guys on the MAGA right??? Why do you selectively NEVER have an ounce of criticism directed at the guy who literally is the only one trying to start WW3 and launching a ground invasion as big as anything we’ve seen since WW2?? It’s all about Biden and apparently Obama. Never a hint of criticism at the guy murdering hundreds of thousands.

Only way to see it is you guys obviously support Putin correct?

Wow, this is good news for Ukraine. Not sure how 4 of them will suffice but it will be a good litmus test on how Ukraine uses them to help themselves.

Poland will transfer 4 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming days, Polish president says

    https://www.cnn.com/europe/live-new...s-03-16-23/h_21c44eb6ebcd7b3e6cdf34032bdaf26a

Like other Russian and Soviet make military hardware, the cost of procurement and maintenance is much cheaper than its Western counterparts. Today the average cost of a MiG-29 is around $23.7 million.

If DeSantis or Trump win in 2024, all those guys will be falling over themselves to disavow these comments. When was the last time Lindsey Graham stuck to his principles?

This is true and exactly what I was arguing to advocate for cutting a deal before Russia started the war. But now there is a war. Now our interest is no longer a free Ukraine, it's a defeated Russia.

This video will be shown to every Russian solider in the trenches as motivation to hold on for another few years.

Don't forget trump and his MAGA cult are nothing but treasonous snakes to America. Scumbags

I do believe this is a "standard training exercise" with our NATO friends, rotate in and rotate out.

It's funny that 99% of conservatives hate Obama wayyyyy more than they hate Biden. Michelle Obama trends more in right wing twitter than Biden which is crazy. People forget how the tea party years were when folks had photos of Obama nd Apes nd African conspiracies. @basso @Astrodome these right wingers and MAGA may hate Biden policies but they don't hate him on a personal level then they hated Obama. People don't remember the genuine hate people had for Obama

Republicans crossed over and voted democrat in 2022 bcz they may not like biden personally but they don't find him threatening. Conservatives genuinely thought Obama was a statonic king.
