Purdy is also small. injured and unlikely to be ready for the start of the season.

None of that mattered when they were scoring plenty with him...

The question was rookie qbs in high scoring offenses...

Pass defense is way ahead of the run defense though because thats where we have invested the talent. We need run stuffers and pass rushers badly it goes beyond system and expectation you need to have the relevant talent to improve. On the same note the offense needs talent as well so I can understand the preference and maybe a sort of tongue in cheek original comment, but I really hope the draft is balanced and not phase heavy.

I get what you're saying, I hope you're not missing my point. 7 points in the last game. Hard to score points on the bench.

If you want to fix the defense draft a pass rusher at 1-12 and a LB at 2-32. I know they're bringing in Simpson for a visit and I dont like Clemson LB's. But if Ryans drafts a LB then I'm totally on board. Ryans knows LB's.

I would say the same thing but he did the exact same thing last yr. Signed a backup QB, traded for a G and picked up other middle FAs. No real huge Splashes.

I've been saying for a while, Caserio is NOT a good GM. Outside of the DW4 trade, which is still materializing, he has lost all of his trades and his drafts have been avg at best.

    I just don't see it

Hope they don't draft Bijan. I would hate to root against him.

2-32 is also the draft range to grab the top available centers (Wypler, Tippman, Schmitz). Too many holes. I'm starting to warm up to trading 1-12 for more picks.

Caserio's job is to get who the coaches want.

These are the guys that Ryans wants, same as with Lovie last year.

Lets see how all of this plays out, I'm with you in that I do disagree with Caserio's 2 year deal FA philosophy. I thought with the cap space they had and the ability to create another 20 mil more they would've atleast gone shopping in the Al Shaair/David Long 2 years/11 Mil market. Instead they kept Murray at 2 years/10 mil. SMH.
