    Respectfully disagree...

    1. Jabari aint dictating nothin at this point... and any praise of Silas could just be proper pr...
    2. Harden aint comin back - lol! We're just leverage to get a stupid too long max contract that Morey will regret in future years...
    3. I call bs... Silas has been way too invested in kpj - at the detriment to the overall team development imo.

Why is anyone surprised? The complete incompetence starts at the very top. Expecting anything under tilman to suddenly begin functioning is laughable.

This. I wouldn't be surprised if was told he'd get a shot at genuinely competing after this season.

Been saying this forever. Silas stayed for some reason. Would have been way better for him to resign super early in his tenure and say he had only gone there for Harden. Easier than trying to ace his first rebuild and then make up for the losing record with several seasons of winning (Silas taking a big risk with his career here).

The fact that he stayed tells me they were all aware that in 2023 would be the first window to compete and they must have offered him at least one chance at playing with a roster that they stock properly with depth and vets as well as players who are no longer 19/20 yrs old.

What worries me is whether we get Wemby or Scoot or not, it's clear to me we need to be running a Warriors or Kings-like offense to take advantage of Sengun and let the backcourt get as many assisted shots as possible. Having someone on the interior who can run the offense is a big asset, it's very common in championship teams though uncommon in general. Jabari, Green, Scoot, Wemby would all benefit tremendously from that offense. I wonder if Silas has the ability to recognize and implement that. I didn't think Mike Brown would be able to do it, but IIRC Silas spent some time with Kerr too (or was it Mark Jackson days?).

I hated Bickerstaff Jr when he coached here.

Now I'm told he is a good coach.

Amazing how a couple of vets can change the perception

The smart organization fires Sil@ss. Of course, no one said the Rockets brass and ownership have been great over the last 3 years, but surely they can't be that stupid as to keep Sil@ss, right?

Well like that other thread suggests, Silas is actually some Zen master playing 4 dimensional chess by losing all these games :D

If Silas is still here, it's an indication that they plan on another tank season.

I would honestly be surprised if they don't fire him well before the draft.

Funny how that just happens to coincide with the three year window where the Rockets had control of their draft.

The only way I see that happening is if we don’t get a top 3 pick and Harden doesn’t come.

If this happens I'm going to go out and buy a bigger blender because my current one isn't big enough to put my head in.

I don’t care as long as Jabari and Tari can develop. Green has to be a scoring machine he will never have it defensively.
