Sure a lot of sour grapes this morning for those that thought Kansas should have been ranked above us as the 2nd #1 seed. I think Kansas is lucky to be a #1 seed considering 6 of their 7 losses were in double digits 2 of them by 20 or more. I think the committee should have placed Texas in Kansas's spot and dropped Kansas to a number 2 seed. Texas pretty much wiped the floor with Kansas the last 10 days. Other than that the rest of the field seems like they got most of it right.
Sasser is a great testament to hard work. Barely recruited coming out of high school. and now has worked his way into becoming a 1st round pick in the NBA and one of the best players in college basketball
With Marcus making 1st team all american, i cant help but wonder how good Caleb Mills could have been had he stayed No hate on the guy but it doesnt seem like his game made any progress
My son's on a business trip to Austin and I keep sending him stuff when someone picks the Coogs to win it all, and his response nearly every time is "dude, i'm physically ill" So nervous
Let's get this dance started. This could be one of the most historic runs I'll ever witness in my lifetime.
I guess we are all waiting to see if Sasser will play later today. May be why point spread has dropped from over 20 earlier in the week down to 18 currently. Confident CKS and medical staff will make the right decision regarding Sasser. I am not as confident as I would like to be in the freshman guards to take up the slack if it is decided that Sasser is unable to go today. Major dropoff both on offense and on defense.
It's so funny to hear someone his age say that. There's this weird age gap in Coog fans.... you're either 55+ or under 35. The old timers are nervous because they feel like it might be the last chance for redemption. The young timers are nervous because they don't know true suffering. Me, I'm just happy to be here.
I am in the +55 camp. Its been 40 years. I was 25 last time UH made a run at the NCAA championship with Phi Slamma Jamma. I started following the Astros in 1968 when my father retired from the military and we moved to Houston. We all had to wait until 2005, in my case almost 40 years, for the Astros to finally made an appearance in the World Series. Only to be swept in 4 strait by the White Sox. Twelve years later we finally made it back and now have won two of the last four World Series. It seems like UH Mens BB under Sampson is in the middle of a run of excellence, similar to what the Astros have been going through. All we lack now is the championship. Let's hope we get it this year. It has been an amazing and enjoyable run.
You are in the last, largest part of the Cougar fan bellcurve. After your generation, the fans got thanos snapped out of existence. It wasn't until about 2010 that the athletic department finally started showing signs of life again. The last 10~ years has been great for creating new Coogs, but man, that dip between 1990-2010 was ****ing brutal.
