at this point, it’s hard for me to see KPJ functioning on a good team or coming off the bench

his role would be much smaller, and he wouldn’t like it…and I think he’d make it clear he doesn’t like it

imagine if Harden actually came back here and KPJ gets demoted to 6th man…he’ll be checking into every game with an attitude and complaining about his role non-stop

he doesn’t look like the type to embrace a smaller role for the good of the team…he looks like the type to whine and act out instead

I told Bobby earlier in the year that I was doing my best to let go of my biases regarding KPJ. I wanted to look at the good that he brought to our team and the fact is, he does have some skills that can help a team.

That said, he has proven time and again that he is not emotionally mature enough to be a good teammate all the time. He tries to make the right play...unless he’s upset in which he just does whatever the **** he wants with no consequences.

People complain about Jabari getting on his teammates, but he makes the right basketball play almost always: swinging the ball to an open teammate, hustling on defense, etc.

People complain about Jalen’s hair, his nails, his social media following—but he is a consistently supportive teammate who has far better body language than KPJ when things don’t go his way. In fact, I’d argue that he sometimes is too UNassertive in getting the ball.

It’s annoying to see our “head honcho”, our point guard, our Clutchfans-christened prophet of God and self-proclaimed leader sulk like a spoiled AAU guard. What’s going to be the excuse?

KPJ's problem is on court decision making. He just has zero court vision which prevents him from being a good PG. Part of it is his misplaced belief in his own ability to score or get to the rim. But, there are many possessions where he just doesn't see the play developing and just consistently makes the wrong read when he gets by his man. It's sad because he's the best ballhandler on the team and probably the 2nd best passer after Sengun. when he actually sees the play he's good but he just can't process the game properly from that position. And, I think that's more of a talent that you have early on than a skill you develop in later years.

I think he would thrive in an Eric Gordon type of role. Give him the ball when he's open. So, his objective is to score or dump it off to a big at the rim. Setting up the plays for a team will just never be his strength.

That's really disgusting from KPJ. Standing around not giving a f*ck about the play is too immature for a player nearing the end of his 4th season in the NBA. I don't like that at all.

I really don't care that he has struggled to learn the PG position but he calls himself the head honcho and is lazier than every single player on the roster. I need to see a better finish to the season from him. Thank god we have him on such a team-friendly contract. I think with a few years of trial and error he will develop into a good player but even that's off the table if he's a guy giving up on plays like that. Playoff teams have 0% tolerance for sh*t like that. This entire fanbase turned on Tracy McGrady for doing that.

For KPJ it's not a good idea anymore to be on a rebuilding team. He needs to be under a coach and franchise player you can't talk back to and on a team that will bury you if you don't give 100% effort. There's nothing more he can learn from a losing situation (unlike the less experienced players on the team) and being given a lot of reps. He's maxed out here.

So much riding on how the front office and coaching staff start building the culture and identity of the team finally. The coming offseason and training camp are so important.

Silas is a doormat. He's completely worthless. Any other coach would have immediately benched him. Silas was probably worried his idiot pg would leave the arena

Well, this looks like a wrap on the KPJ experiment.

I’ve seen KPJ give up on plays before, but not sure I’ve seen him literally stop engaging on a play because he didn’t get the ball, in the freaking first quarter. It’s usually takes him a little time to get frustrated enough to give up or make it about him, revert to melodramatic antics. He’s still a very immature cat. I’m tired of the excuses about his age; this is a pattern that goes back super far. I appreciate that he hasn’t had any major meltdowns or off the court issues this year. That’s certainly improvement. But it’s not good enough, especially when we have a developmental #2 pick who plays the same position. The extension was just plain stupid. It’s time to move on.

I have been a KPJ backer in the past. It’s time to package him in a deal and get his ass out of here. That kind of BS has no place on a team. He has been ignoring Jabari all year. Green also has developed a real mono vision on his drives, but he has shown some improvement in his passing and he looks stronger every game. I think he really will be an offensive superstar. He has the drive to get better on defense.

    Simple for me:

He's overrated and always has been.

Get rid now when he still has some kind of value.

I am quite sure KPJ has been acting like an ass when the cameras were not on him all the time as well. It's simply who he is.
