There is almost no way UH can field a better team than this one for a while. Sasser, Mark and Shead with Roberts and Walker is just an embarrassment of riches.
Ugly first half against ECU, but the good guys prevailed in the end. Sasser was superb. The long scoring droughts are troubling.
I definitely won't miss the conference tourney being at Dickie's Arena in Dallas. The crowd stinks. Even for Smu there was nobody there. It's still basically playing in front of a Covid crowd there. good luck AAC
Absolutely terrible game for us on offense. If you take away what Sasser did, 9-15 for 30 points, the rest of the team was 7-42 for just 16% from the field. Not going to get it done against a good team. It's like the rest if the team has been laying around on the couch for the last four or five days. Except for Sasser, I don't think you will find a more perfect example than this one for an ugly win. If I was grading this game Sasser - A+, Shead - B, everyone else on the team D or F. Mark, Walker, and Roberts are going to have to raise their game back up. Bench had more fouls than points. Most of the game ECU owned us on the boards. This was not the type of performance I was hoping to see in the conference tournament. It was just IMO a bad performance by us. Now that this stinker is out of the way, let's hope tomorrow we play better as a team against Cincinnati.
These scoring droughts are something of a habit. Their defense is so good, they are able to compensate, but this is dangerous. It is like they start games "cold." Maybe they need longer warm ups.
Paws Up! Ambushed 'em. The work was done. Siphoned their gas tank. And we are still on target to secure the 1 seed and Sampson's selection Sunday. Wooo! Long day, but worth it. Next.
