Was talking to a guy from Baltimore and he said that the Astros trash can thing is more of a meme now than anything else. I think a good chunk of baseball fans are moving on.
Oh yeah, I'm sure Baltimore guy's POV must be the same as all the butt hurt fans chanting "cheaters" despite their team not even being in the post season in 2017.....
I've been to Baltimore, been to DC, been all around that area... Your ass sounds more chapped than anything I ever saw around there...and I hung out with the boatmen
Bumping this for The Mariners’ broadcasters, Rangers’ GM and fan bases in cities not named “Houston”.
If you go to the baseball subreddit where the real baseball fans are vs MLB subreddit, you know what real baseball fans think. They have a healthy respect for what we have been doing, the common phrase is the "Astros are inevitable". In other words, if you want to win a world series, you will have to beat us at some point(except for COVID shorten half seasons).
To add, we are becoming the patriots of baseball. Think of all of the former Astros in the playoffs with leadership positions. Correa Springer Morton Gurriel Elias Stearns ( built the Brewers) Click ( okay a little bit of stretch) Strom
If you ever look at the comments attached to anything Astros on X/Twitter. The most common reply by those salty Yankees and Mariners fans is anything to do with a trash can. I have at this point just come to the realization that these are just folks that have nothing better to do than engage in a baseless argument because they are probably unemployed, without companionship, devoid of any life plane, and are bored waiting for the yearly release of the McRib.
If anyone thinks that people have gotten over the trash cans I’m seeing a lot of posts on social media today especially in baseball forums blasting the Stros.
