https://theathletic.com/4296821/2023/03/10/bears-panthers-trade-nfl-draft-number-one-pick/ So who are the Panthers going up for? The party line from the team will be that Reich and general manager Scott Fitterer will use the next seven weeks to evaluate which of the big four quarterbacks they want: C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young, Will Levis or Anthony Richardson. But league insiders believe it will be Stroud, who’s bigger than Young, more accurate than Richardson and more of a playmaker than Levis. Stroud put on a show of precision passing at the combine last week, and proved against Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinals that he’s not afraid to leave the pocket when necessary. The Panthers passed on another Ohio State quarterback two years ago, taking Jaycee Horn at No. 8 when Fields was available. — Person
All this talking up of Stroud is funny because it means people really think the Texans want Bryce Young enough to try to trade up to 1. Playing games via twitter “insiders” Don't fall for it, Nick. Stay at 2 and don't do anything stupid.
Man wouldn’t it be funny to rip a ton away from the Colts? If you think all of the QBs are a blur, would be fun to punish them while still getting a solid defender or 3rd choice of the blob if Cards keep their pick. We still might get Young if the Panthers covet Stroud, but drop to 4 and let the Colts take Young and take in a haul and you can still take Levi’s or Richardson if you want or you could take Anderson/Carter, punt on 2023 top QB but have another 1st at least next year as ammo to get Williams/Maye. Sign me up for raking the Colts for all they got and still going Anderson at 4.
Now with this news, would you trade with the Colts and grab as much as possible from them? I wouldn't because **** the Colts, but it's a great time to screw them over...
If anyone looks at the odds just remember what happened to the NBA draft last year. Odds changed the day of the draft.
