Just looked at the money Daniel ****ing Jones got. Yes, let’s sign Lamar Jackson, league MVP, immediately. We have picks to burn. I want Lamar as our QB. Please…no Stroud or the Lollipop Guild…****ing Lamar Jackson. Please. We lost Deshaun with all his ****, but what we gained could get us an MVP. Please. Lamar Jackson Houston Texan let’s ****ing go!!!!
**** no. Lamar has 1 playoff win. He has missed 5 and 6 games in the last 2 seasons. He is an inaccurate passer. HEL NO. Not giving up 2 = #1s for the RIGHT to sign him to a $200+ million guaranteed contract.
how are the 1st round picks chosen? like who picks them and does it have to be the team's own picks, and which years
I hope all owners stand pat (maybe Browns can use another $200mil QB). Lamar isn't worth paying that anyways.
The owners said after the Watson contract that such contract would never happen again. This is the fallout thanks to Cleveland.
They set the market. They can’t be mad about the market they set. None of that is Lamar’s fault. Unless they want to collude an MVP deserves at least what the masseuse whisperer got.
Cleveland set the market. It’s going to get nasty I think. Lamar deserves his contract. And he can just point to Watson and his legal situation.
Just because some team was stupid enough to guarantee non top 5 QB doesn’t mean others should. In no way does Lamar deserve more than Mahomes or Allen guaranteed money. Freakin money is getting dumb. Daniel Jones and Geno Smith are getting paid. It’s tough, he’s better than them so annual should be higher but not fully guaranteed.
It’s not my money. I’d like to have a QB that I can believe in. I have very little doubt that the Texans won’t play it safe for better or for worse. They always do. Mostly for worse.
The ravens are really smart here. They're calling Lamar's bluff on his contract demand, all the whole proving to themselves what his trade market actually is. Their best bet is that a team like Carolina or Vegas come in and tell them that they'll trade him their first this year for Lamar straight up. Then, he signs and is traded. I don't even know if that's possible. But also, most of these teams are saying that they won't pursue him. Though the Texans haven't for some reason... All that being said, I think he's a Raven next year, at a contract that is less than what he was asking for.
