What’s a good quick family lunch spot you might recommend in Baton Rouge I-10/ Hwy 12? We’re driving to Orange Beach and I said let’s eat in Baton Rouge instead of dipping into to New Orleans so we can save time. I know Baton Rouge has got game. I had great gumbo there before and got a badass king’s cake at an old grocery store there once.
Parrain’s is pretty darn good if you’re driving West anyway. If you want something closer to where you are just holler again. It’s off Perkin’s Road… tons of great food all up and down Perkins but it’s also a long road. If you want fast, pretty much every Po-boy place in town is good. Even the Poboy Express is great. My grandpa used to take me there all the time! Mike Andersen’s is the big Louisiana in your face place. Takes a while though.
