His stats were just as good after the injury. He doesn't need to throw at all and he'd still be a top 3 pick. Hom throwing means nothing as long as his medicals check out. Anyone who thinks teams won't check his shoulder out to the fullest is crazy.
What are you talking about? His first game back against TN his completion rate was almost 70% and he threw for 455 yards. In his last game, Sugar Bowl, his completion rate was over 70% and he threw 5 TDs.
This is kinda fishy. My question is, yes he's going to eventually throw, but he doesn't want to be weighed at his pro day. Let's face facts, posters that want Young to be a Texan are more than willing to overlook all of the outliers/potential red flags.
I am definitely willing to overlook the outlier stuff. I think it's overplayed to the max. I also don't think there are any red flags at all. As of right now, anything about his shoulder is rumor and speculation at best. It will be sorted out well before the draft.
And you people that don’t want him make up stories without any proof whatsoever. There is nothing anywhere that teams are concerned about his shoulder. Bryce Young has reportedly capitalized on his NFL Scouting Combine meetings. Per theScore's Jordan Schultz, league sources say the quarterback has been "sensational" in Indianapolis. "Young's football acumen is off the charts, as one executive explained to me," Schultz wrote Thursday evening on Twitter. "As is his ability to understand advanced coverages, even ones that he's yet to see."
"After suffering what Saban called a sprained AC joint in Fayetteville..." It must have been a low grade sprain, but it was still a sprain . You should read up on those.
You talked about results after the injury that were so off the mark there is no mark. Heard any team coming out of the combine worrying about his shoulder?
If you need your starting quarterback to be a massive statue in the pocket, Alabama’s Bryce Young just won’t be your guy. If you need your starting quarterback to be really good at literally everything that matters at the game’s most important position, Young will definitely be your guy. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/2023/03/01/nfl-draft-bryce-young-size/
Did I say he had a bad combine? I said he refused to compete against his top competition and now he MIGHT not go 1-1. Both things can be true. I dont know what the Dr. is going to say about Young's shoulder, but if he says the shoulder isn't good, then I'm out on Young.
I don’t make predictions. The only predictions I am making is that Young or Stroud will be the Texans’ QB.
I don't want to draft any QB in this draft. I wouldn't spend a 1st for sure. If I had to draft a QB my top 4 would look like this Hooker Levis Bennett O'Connell
.... You think these are the top 4 QB prospects in this draft overall? Or ones that you could reasonably expect to fall I'm afraid to ask, but who do you want to take at 2?
First, you are already out on Young. Second, I have yet to see anyone post a link to where any team has expressed any concern whatsoever about his shoulder. Third, any team would be out of their mind to draft a player that has an injury that could prevent them from doing their job, especially QB.
