You don’t think teams doctors are examining that closely? Come on

Have Texans doctors specifically checked him out? Is he under any requirement to be evaluated by the combine medical staff? Why didnt he throw? Why did he move back his original pro day?

Some of you act as if Young has played in Division III and is finally going to play against NFL level players. The guy has played againstNFL level players his entire college career and experienced NFL level hits.

The problem with this is that Bryce doesn't have that ability to run like they do

So you haven’t watched him play. Got it. I give you he isn’t a Murray style runner, neither is Wilson, but he has plenty of speed to make a play when he needs to. He is also a better passer coming out of college than either of them.

When the shoulder gets checked out and written off we can pick up the chat. I dont even want a QB at 2 anyways, but if it must be then I'd pick any of the other guys besides Young.

I would bet the Texans exercise their due diligence and you and I will have no influence over their pick

Hopefully. Young looking pudgy and watching the other guys increase their draft stock didnt do him any favors. If he was healthy he should have shown what he could do too.

Your opinion. Why didn’t Joe Burrow throw at the combine? What was he hiding? Kyler didn’t throw at the combine? What was he hiding? By the way, both of those guys were the #1 pick

Were either of those guys nursing a known injury?

edit: plus I think both of those guys were the consensus #1 picks in their drafts. Bryce Young is far from consensus.

edit2: my bad Chase Young was #1 on most big boards the Burrow year and Kyler was ranked behind Quinnen Williams, Nick Bosa and Josh Allen.

Oh, I see, not throwing at the combine is only meaningful if it fits your narrative. Got it

With a guy with as many question marks as Bryce Young yes. Dont take it from a nobody like me plenty of 'paid' analysts were saying he didnt help himself any by sitting out especially if he's injury free. Has the Kyler Murray experiment worked out for the reputation of small QBs?

The Russell Wilson experiment seemed to work out. Might try watching the Sugar Bowl if you think he has an injury.

On the same tangent it sure looks like the Josh Allen experiment has worked out over Kyler Murray even coming off a Heisman year. Small QBs are fodder for NFL defenses. One or two guys who have done it in HISTORY wont change that. Like I said if Bryce Young was as healthy as his last start why sit back and watch? If he's the best available he should have put it on display. Now we get to watch him making patty cake throws during a pro day. Not impressed.

Nothing he can do will impress you. You’ve already made up your mind about him.

The top QB rarely throws in the combine, but yet it's a big deal all of a sudden that Bryce decided to follow convention.

Sorry, this argument is ridiculous. The combine counts for a max of 10%. If he does well at his pro day, not a single person is going to say oh he didn’t throw at the combine. By the way, whether or not you are impressed is meaningless

If Young wins a SB, he will be the smallest QB to ever win a championship. People want to bet 1-2 on a 1st and the fact that he was healthy and wouldn't compete against the other top QB's at the combine really makes me wonder.
