Am I unique around here thinking that is not a positive? That the downside of his putative return is a lot closer than the upside?

And, just for argument sake - - if JEHj + 2nd overall pick = ???

I’m not on a ‘beard the Beard’ hate train. I’m on the Rox side and there are too many red flags to ignore here IMO.

Here's the question: What if Harden will sign, but asks that the FO use our draft capital to make a big move, whether that be using our pick this year if it lands outside the top 3, or Brooklyn's future picks?

    Harden/Henderson
    Green/veteran 3&D
    KPJ/Tate
    Jabari/Tari
    Sengun/Veteran

Go crazy and offer Henderson, Sengun, 3-4 nets picks for Jokic

For me, not really. For one, our tanking window closes this year from a drafting perspective. This means we have to start signing talent to help us out, especially since our own current picks haven't exploded as quickly as we would all like. If you look at who is out there to sign (simply sign, not even sign with us) or trade for, it's pretty barren out there. For example, Dallas will NEVER trade Luka for us neither will Bucks trade Giannis to us. Neither of them will ever sign with us either without another star or super star. After Harden, our best signing bet would be FVV and Harden is much better.

I would think he'd welcome the opportunity to play with Wemby. If we land Scoot and Harden wants us to trade him, I would hope they'd say no to that. If we had to trade a guard away in that scenario, I'd rather trade Green.

You want the leagues worst defense? Harden, Green, KPJ as a sf and Sengun?

    Holy ****.

If Harden comes here KPJ is either going to be regulated to a 6th man or is gone. No way we play him as a sf with Harden and Green backcourt. That is asking for even worse defense than this season.

That sf position needs to be reserved for a above average 3&d wing with good wingspan and strength. Hopefully Tari is that guy next season.

if we got Wemby and Harden came back, Sengun is gone and KPJ will be relegated to being a bench player

Wouldn't KPj make a lot more sense to trade in that scenario?

I think more likely KPJ is going and HOPEFULLY Sengun works on his range where he has zero hesitancy so a Wemby and Sengun frontcourt can work well.

Unlikely. The obvious choice would be to move Green to the bench, which would be a better role for a guy like him anyway. Harden would get an elite catch and shoot 3 point shooter on the court next to him, and the Rockets would have a speedy energy player off the bench who could give the team a boost if he happens to be hot that night while limiting the damage he does with his godawful defense.

    It would be a win/win.
