Thanks. I’ve done this (never for a full game but for innings) and noted the difference. It’s beyond obvious. Everyone who has ever done it has come to the same conclusion. Yet we still have people that want to pontificate that the difference is something other than the blindingly obvious- more downtime in between pitches with no action, which nobody should be a fan of.
Meyers is the best defensive CF on the roster and with the highest offensive ceiling but coming off a bad season. Whitley is coming off of a bad career to date. Dirden is not a CF. Urquidy has a track record of success even if uts just back of the rotation success. Any pitcher the team would get for Meyers and Whitley would be a step down from Urquidy.
I'll stop complaining if you stop promoting that garbage. We see it very differently and if you can't see apples and oranges and only see fruit. that's YOUR problem.
Roy O was really a joy to watch and I never thought about the aspect of him just getting the ball and firing it into the plate. Obviously helped in my enjoyment of his outings. Rearranging your junk or looking at your bat or taking a walk around the mound is not my idea of parts of baseball that we will be missing out on.

He wasn’t very effective last season but he projects to be roughly as good as Urquidy. I would like Houston to sign him because I think he can be a great fit as an early season starter who transitions into an elite playoff reliever. He was one of the best RP in baseball in 2017.
Agreed, now I can watch the West Coast games. Although I do wish the pitch clock was 5 seconds longer.
He looked done last year. His spin is merely great instead of dominating. His velo is down. I would not expect Minor to have a bounce back unless he can have a bounce back in velo.
Supposedly he was pitching with a dead arm last year. I wouldn’t spend much on him but I would sign him to a low number. He has potential in the rotation and pen. Honestly I brought his name up because I would rather sign someone like him than TRADE for a similar level player as some were suggesting. I don’t want to dump Meyers or Urquidy when I can sign an inning eater.
He hasn't been good for the last 3 seasons, with a composite Era of noughly 5.60. And this dude is the equivalent of Urquidy? Jesus help us.
Is Dirden getting an extended look because they expect Yordan to miss significant time? Something to watch.
