So to confirm the Rockets get the pick as long as both the Clippers & Thunder picks are not in the to 4 (ignoring the 6 which wont happen) Meaning if the Clippers jumped into the top 4 the Rockets then get the Thunder pick and Thunder takes the top 4 pick leaving the clippers with the Bucks pick?
For the Clips pick. If 1-6 it stays with Clips (and we get MIL pick) 7-30 it goes to us. BUT Thunder have swap rights 7-30 The swap rights are extremely unlikely to be a factor. Far less likely than the pick going 1-6
It would be amazing. But like SOOO unlikely. 2 scenarios for that Clips pick 1. (Most achievable): they go .500(ish) the rest of the way and finish in the play-in, lose out of it and therefore finish a s a lottery team (probably pick 13 or 14) 2. (Crazy good) they win 3 (or less) games (from the rest of the way. The problem is that they already have 33 wins. So 36 was pick 12 last year. If they missed the play-in, it would be 9 or 10 Ie, losing out probably leaves them at pick 9... they just have too many wins right now to be completely flushed to 7. Start looking at the end of lotto guys. Worst case you can start to hope they slide to late teens (if the Clips make the playoffs)
Clips pull out a great comeback win BUT WAIT EGO and Russ mess up the easiest of pass and receives and turn the ball over to give the Kings a chance - which they gobbled up. Oh my Russ. That was so bad.
Since the trade, the pick has increased it's value from moving up 10 spots to moving up 15 spots. So far it looks like a steal of a trade from Stone!!! If history continues to repeat itself, this is going to be the better of the 2 players picked. 2022 1. Top 3 (#2 - Green) 2. Top 20 (#16 - Sengun) 2023 1. Top 3 (#3 - Jabari) 2. Top 20 (#17 - Tari) 2024 1. Top 3 (#1 please?) 2. Top 20 (#15 or higher please?) That would be insane in terms of patterning.
In fairness, they were only willing to give up that much because Kawhi had told them he would sign if they got Paul George. So while technically they traded all that for Paul George, functionally for the Clippers, they traded all of that for Paul George and Kawhi. That said, it still hasn't worked out great for them.
I was just looking at Kevin O'Conner's mock draft. This pick has me excited now. There are lots of interesting guys that could fall after 10. I'm not saying I think any of them will be superstars, but I like their potential anyhow. Guys he has going after 10 that could be possibly be available with this pick: Jarace Walker G.G. Jackson Jett Howard Kel'el Ware Gradey Dick Dariq Whitehead Taylor Hendricks I also see the possibility of somebody like Anthony Black sliding into this range. I hope to god the Clippers keep starting Westbrook.
Guys stone has already said we are trading the Pick no matter what. Actually the better the pick is the more likely we are trading it cut its value goes up. We are going all old vets this off-season to make a playin. Yall are going to waste so much time on here arguing over draft picks that will never play for the Rockets.
I don't know. If they start Westbrook through the end of the season they're going to lose so much that the NBA may be forced to rescind some of their prior wins.
