Definitely don’t see those 4 as the only path. However if we don’t have an answer come 2024, drafting a QB will undoubtedly be the only path IMO. And personally I’m not a fan of godfather offers, they haven’t worked out all that well for teams historically. As far as this draft, the offense/defense were equally as bad so Anderson or Young at #2 is fine with me. Think there is depth at WR where we can go with Young at #2, edge at #12, and WR in the 2nd.
The line that Carr had wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as what was pushed at the time and even now. Carr held onto the ball too long, they warned him - they tried coaching him - and he still held onto the ball too long. That is the reason for a lot of the sacks. Also, Carr was someone that lacked the passion for being a great NFL QB. Just because he had a nice smile, never got in trouble and was a generally "good guy" doesn't mean he had the burning desire or passion to be great. He treated being an NFL QB like a 9-5. He came to practice the exact minute he was required to be there and left the exact moment he was supposed to. He made his money - he did what he was contractually obligated to do, and once he decided it was too hard - he took his ball home. End of story - the lesson is simple, being a "good guy" or disciplined in other parts of life doesn't mean that a player is passionate or disciplined about football.
Just heard Levis speak on the radio and kinda sounded cocky. It wasn’t whatever team I am lucky to be picked by but rather whatever team is lucky enough to pick me. Sorry, to me there is a line between confident and cocky
C.J. Stroud reminds me of Aaron Rodgers. I think the way he things is going to be his greatest strength and also is going to be something that at times will cause controversy - he clearly has his opinions and doesn't hold back. I would love to trade down and get Stroud at #4 and add another #1 next year.
I want to trade down to 5,20 and a fourth with Seattle or 6,18, and fourth with Detroit. Only way those guys are trading up is for QB which would make colts trade up to 1 take young, Seattle at 2 take Stroud or Levi, Arizona trades down and Levi or Stroud goes 3. Anderson to Chicago, Wilson to us a 5, Richardson to us at 12, BPA with the rest with the possible exception of taking Achane a little ahead of schedule in 3rd.

Yeah it would be playing with fire, a super risky move, but if someone jumps ahead of you and takes your guy I don't think it's a bad option. Our QB question would still be unanswered if we don't get one of these 4 guys but if we do land an elite pass rusher? I feel like elite pass rushers are the guys that affect the defense more than anything else. If you get a guy that can't be blocked by one lineman then it makes everyone else's job on defense a lot easier. I feel like this is why the top pick in a draft is either a QB, a LT, or Edge Rusher. Three most impactful positions. We have a franchise LT so no reason to fill that spot, but if we can't get our guy at QB I wouldn't be mad at Anderson.
