In DEFENSE of Alperen Sengun - Analysis on why Sengun may already be an above average defender

How is @SamFisher telling the truth considered him being a hater? Y’all are the same ones who call out KPJ lack of playmaking, Jabari’s shooting, JG defense and inconsistency, Tate’s shooting, but Sengun can’t get called out for his limitations? I can’t do anything on defense and he can’t shoot!! Those are just facts, but it’s hate when he gets called out. Got it!

I doubt Harden at 34 would play 80 games, maybe only 65 at best and that is without major injuries.

sengun is more atletic than jokic...other than that sengun has only ever played 13 full nba games of 35 minutes

he will be an elite defender as soon as he gets a full year of full games under his belt with a competent defensive minded coaching and competent teammates that are not mobbing him...

We all have a difference of opinion regarding Sengun and the Rockets as a whole. But some of us are extreme in our analogy.

To me, I don't think there is a Hakeem, Barkley, or Jordan on this roster. Maybe a Pippen or a Rodman but no player who you can build around.

People can show stats ALL DAY long but I continue to stress, assessing a player is all in the eye test. To me the Rockets have four players I would keep; Green, KPJ, Tari and Jabari. I know a lot of SOFs are going to be PISSED that I put KPJ on my list and not Sengun.

Here is why, Sengun is Jokic in a smaller body. It works for Jokic because he is taller and he is extremely long. Neither of them are quick on their feet nor athletic but what helps Jokic is his length. Sengun is very effective against backup centers and players his size but players with length give him trouble. (SENGUN WOULD BE AWESOME AS A BACKUP ON THE DENVER NUGGETS).

Green is a starter no doubt, Jabari just needs to go look for his shot in Loss and Found, Tari is a beast and KPJ would benefit by being a 6th Man or having shooters around him as a starter and/or a rim running center.

If you are not athletic or tall in today's NBA you have to be good or great shooter. If not you are a roll player at best.

 

Really not hard to distinguish who's an actual hater but I guess you guys are just completely oblivious to how miserable you come off lol
