She is the perfect example of how throwing woke ideology leads to it's own demise
there is no goal or solution, it's just constant cancel culture and never ending causes

She wants renewable energy that's green, ok.
    Windmills are green.

But Norway building them would cause some walruses to die, so you can't do that

    it's never ending woke lunacy

The fact climate warriors have appointed a child as their figurehead says all you need to know. These nitwits are simple minded and don't know how these things work. They want green energy but expect it to just appear like magic - they are not based on reality. Manufacturing green energy requires nature to be disturbed one way or another - EV batteries require mining, wind farms require taking up land, etc.

There is no perfect energy source, wind energy is inconsistent and kills a lot of birds.

What some people on both sides don't get, is that this isn't a "gothcha" scenario, it is about having the best and cleanest energy sources, because it has a real impact on the current and the future.

Also opinions on what is best SHOULD change when new information is learned.

Was there a vote? I don't remember there being a vote on who represents them. I guess I missed that one.

I am not a "green warrior", but I don't think they believe it will appear like magic, most environmentalists have wanted increased spending and investment is cleaner energy sources.

Also, most people educated on the subject know that there is an environmental cost for any energy, but the cost is not always equal from one source to another.... and the only way the cost goes down is innovation and advanced technology.

A lot of this shouldn't even be political. It does everyone a disservice when this stuff becomes political. What some like AOC want is simply not feasible, and how some on the other side refuse to believe simple things like climate change is incredibly irresponsible.

We need more of a Nixonian or Clintonian way of looking at the issue.

    Yes and no.

She sometimes makes quantitative differences........ but yeah, pollution worldwide could be cut 90% and she would likely continue to push for improvements.

Disclaims Greta as the chosen one for green energy... proceeds to defend her in consecutive posts.

Paywall. What did she actually say? Not interested in headlines or Twitter hot takes.

Probably not, a lot of what she does isn't successful.

She is an idiot. What's more interesting is the propaganda machine that propped her up, and who paid for that, and why.

Defend her? Pointing out something is factually false is now defending her?

I have been critical of the green movement on a number of things in the past.

I laughed at the AOC New Green Deal and said it wasn't realistic and actually harmful to the improvement of energy.

Everyone should be on the side of improving energy technology and the cleanliness of the energy we use.

The problem is that some people only look at it through a political lens and that is really not good.

Science and fact should be apolitical.... and instead we have democrats over characterizing or distorting the positions of scientists and we have republicans trying to discredit people that are experts in their field.... you or I don't tell a surgeon how to do brain surgery, yet we think we can tell the scientific community they are wrong on well established facts.

Greta brings attention to the need for more environmental protections because the press absolutely loves her - but she doesn't speak for everyone else.

Yeah, her value (if she has any) is that she brings attention to the issue of environmental concerns.

The problem is that she also is such an extremist that she also marginalizes an important topic that shouldn't be very political.
