Everyone’s hating on Bari’s 8 points on 10 shots, but I’m sure y’all are going to ignore Sengun’s 7 points on 9 shots. He’s played very poorly without KPJ, which is funny since y’all claimed KPJ held Sengun back.
Kpj centric offense does hold sengun back. There's a reason y silas and kpj prefers lob threat Bruno over sengun. Why are u acting that sht never happen?
Without KPJ, Sengun had been terrible. He’s averaged liked 10 points the last 10 games. The time for this hypothetical nonsense is over. The results are clear.
Aw, yes. If he plays well, it’s despite Silas. If he plays poorly, it’s because of him. Obviously no other player get this defense. Sengun is a special flower who wilted under the pressure.
Who said that no other player gets this defense? Everyone plays more poorly under Silas and his clique. However, Sengun is the only one who constantly gets scapegoated by Silas and his clique. And now STFU and go to sleep. Nobody cares about your little schtick at this point.
Who ever plays guard position for the Rockets is the worst defensive player in the league! doesn’t matter who plays it. Klay 42 pts, Lillard 71 pts! Who was guarding these guys? Nix..Tyty? Marcus freaking Smart!! would be the worst defensive player in the league if he played for the Rockets
It’s bc Sengun can’t help in PnR. Guards are bad, but Sengun makes them look worse. The guards also make him look bad too
13, 8, and 5 on 52% TS in his last 10 games heading into tonight the truth is we don’t actually have a franchise player right now, and if Sengun is considered our franchise player, then we are down bad Sengun is a smaller off-brand version of Jokic who isn’t a threat to score from outside the paint
I still believe Sengun can become a really good player. I just think this stretch has shown that he's not our franchise player. To me, a franchise player is great regardless of the players around him. Sengun seems like the type who can be really good with good players around him. That's incredibly valuable, just not franchise material.
He is also 20, and has a coaching staff that has not been supportive. Jokic wasn't better at 20. Yes, his last 10 games weren't as good as the previous 10, he has been in a bit of a slump, for various reasons. But he has shown what he can do.
I would like to believe that with a better coach senguns numbers would b quite drastically different. Silas only knows how to make a guard the center piece in his offense system
Jokic at 20 was a rookie barely playing 20 mpg compare 2nd year Jokic to 2nd year Sengun, and Jokic clears him easily what he has shown to date isn’t franchise player material
Huh? Rookie jokic had a TS that was EIGHT % above league average, he was not just way better but light years better at 20 (his rookie season)
