Or he loves basketball and is one of the greatest players of all time? I suspect he'll be better than average at 45. The way that guy takes care of his body is insane. The only thing that will stop him would be a career ending injury.
Every time I see a Lakers game I feel could be good I tune in - to see LeBron in street clothes. Does this guy just not suit up against marquee matchups anymore? Lol at anyone thinking he cares about Playoffs these days.
welp lets see how an AD led team finishes. We know this hasn't ended well before. Can he carry the lakers to get into a play in spot.
Gonna have to wait on handsome YouTube doctor's take on this. He didn't see anything that severe. No evidene of a lisfranc injury, for example.
If the injury really does keep LeBron out for 3 or more weeks, Davis could still move them up the standings a bit. Would be easier with LeBron, but they could win just on defense and effort alone. Maybe a little Ewing-Theory.
Next ten games look relatively gentle: includes Rockets, OKC, and Pelicans. Toughest opponent will be Grizz twice in that span. Could go 6-4 or better, ... or the wheels fall off without him. Also possible given all the new faces.
[Charania] “LeBron James is expected to miss an indefinite amount of time… likely at least 2 or 3 weeks. He initially hurt that right foot in January… he was faced with a decision to shut it down for an amount of time… he decided to keep playing on it.”
I wonder how many millions of steps Lebron's feet have taken on a basketball court? How many 100,000's of times he's landed after jumping? Incredibly resilient structure for an athlete of his height and weight.
Hobbled, aging, injury prone superstars is what many contending teams depend on to win. Not 1, but both Lakers stars fall into this category (although AD is mostly about injury). How much of their future did they mortgage to give this years team a boost? Lakers fans did it to themselves though. They wanted to be good now, not plan for the future. Looks like they may not get either. This is what scares me about all the Rockets fans wanting big stars right away. Gung ho for next year, but what about the year after? Five years after that?
Glass man used to mean something good. He would either stay healthy or get hurt with or without LeBron. I do wonder if he will take this opportunity to prove his worth.
