Probably just relieved he didn’t totally implode like he normally does the moment something doesn’t go his way in an outing.

He seems very emotionally charged. He should go see Framber's sport psychologist about that.

What's the story with some stadiums having the pitch clock and others don't?

    How does the pitcher know?

They all do, it's just in different places. MLB said no big league stadium will have the clock in view of the center field camera. So we'll never see the clock unless broadcasts incorporate that in their info box the way the NFL and NBA do.

All broadcasts are figuring out the best way to incorporate that.

I was thinking a couple of things about the pitch clock.
    1) Won't concessions at the park take a hit because shorter games.
    2) Both Blummer and Julia's positions are going to be of a much lesser need with very little time to fill.

It isn't as if Julia's sideline spots happen strictly between pitches, they usually take place over multiple pitches with PBP taking a backseat.

Every sport has color men on TV because it isn't necessary to call every action as it happens. There's always something happening in the NBA and NHL and they still have color guys. Commentary of any kind is technically unneeded on television, but its still there.

The replays of prior pitches or hits/fouls/whatever are really gonna have to be on the ball. From when I was watching it seemed like when they showed a replay and then flashed back to the live game, the next pitch was already being delivered. It will definitely be an adjustment for the broadcasts as well.

You have 1 hour and 30 minutes to get your drink on before the 7th. You used to be able to take your time with the 3 hour stroll into the 7th inning.

Oh this will be awesome. Game ending on a clock timing out. Baseball is not meant to have a clock. "Ohhhh. The Yankees win on a buzzer beater. Here is the replay."

Compromise. Forgo the new rules in the 8th and 9th? I don't know.

If you must have a pitch clock, make it 45 seconds. Weed out the ner-do-wells with no attention span and eliminate 1 30 second commercial per half inning.

You know who does love the pitch clock? Lazy ass broadcasters who hate baseball and would rather be anywhere else. (Thinking of you 790)

I don't need or want to see the clock. Ok with the clock. Don't need to see it.

The WBC won't have a pitch clock, if anyone is complaining about the clock (idk why), then watch that and see how it plays vs spring training.

It seems that the only thing holding Dirden back so far is lack of games. He's literally played only 2 seasons worth of baseball games since he was 18 years old. .
