I get a really strong vibe that this is all about to really escalate.

It is just a gut feeling, but it feels like we are going to see stronger offensives by Russia, China is close to getting involved.... Western Europe has been preparing since the invasion. If China gets involved, it will likely trigger more involvement and commitments from the USA..... this could go sideways relatively quickly.

I don't know if we're at that level yet.

Outside of Russia throwing more untrained cannon fodder into the meat grinder, what more can they do? I don't think their military material production is keeping up with their losses.

Also, what does China get out of it? They aren't ready militarily to take on the US. Seems like a negative overall except getting Russian energy imports cheap.

I am on the other end of this. I feel like both armies are nearing breaking points due to over-exhaustion of munitions (ukraine) and manpower (russia). This is why China supplying Russia with munitions will be a massive setback. Russia cannot keep up with the current tempo.

China is all bluff, they only care about their own money - nothing else, they aren't a threat to get into a war with a major power, they know they aren't on that level - they are only interested in cash.

    I hope you are right.

I just fore see China getting involved, and Russia then increasing their push as a result.... and then the USA having to dig in deeper.

That’s what a lot of people thought about Russia more than a year ago.

That said I do feel that the PRC isn’t interested in a direct conflict especially regarding Ukraine. Taiwan and other parts of Asia are a different matter.

China would get a proxy war out of it, in which they can try and overextend the US and induce political fatigue here at home, which would then allow them to do as they will with Taiwan with minimal US intervention, theoretically.

That being said, I am a know nothing dolt and could be way off with this thought. I don't see China getting involved, and I think at some point fairly near (next 6 months to a year?) Putin will have to eventually tuck tail and back off, if he's still around...

Much more interested in Ukraine being in NATO than Hungary.

The only negotiation should be Russia getting the hell out of Ukraine. They could end this immediately. You b**** about some immigrants coming over. What if the Mexican army invaded and said "We want Texas back" are you going to negotiate? GTFOH.

Oh, I know that, but I had to ask. The guy/chick, whatever it is, constantly pumps out nonsense and, like you said, the usual chumps (at least the ones I don't have on ignore and don't "see") support the fool.

This forum used to be a lot more interesting. A much higher level of participation and a wider variety of opinions. Heck, some of the members who had opinions I disagreed with, even found abhorrent, at least made an effort to provide "supporting" sources and/or were giving opinions that were honest, at least from their point of view.

They didn't simply post opinion pieces instead of their own opinions, sometimes posting them in such a way that the casual reader might think that it was "fact," not opinion. That, or post pure troll that they found somewhere. That's a @Commodore specialty. We see far too much of that now.
