Exactly. If we have to sign a seldom-used vet, why get another big when we already have three? I'd rather sign Augustin back to sit on the bench.
I think the biggest disappointment with Jabari really has been how he's not sucking up all the minutes at the 5 where we need to be able to switch 1-5. Maybe that's also a coaching thing but one of the things I was most excited about with drafting him was this ability. Picking up WCS at this point should be completely unnecessary because of Jabari. There shouldn't be any need for a guy like him with Jabari, and Garuba as well who has the tools to be much better and useful than he has been. Will be interesting to see if WCS gets minutes and immediately the same issues persist that Sengun, Jabari, Bruno, Boban, Garuba, etc. are having getting torched from 3 on the drop scheme. Seems like a coaching issue more than a simple fix that Willie Cauley Stein can fix.
What's more perplexing is that both of our starting guards are injured. And they signed a 10-day contract for a ... center.
Not perplexing at all. Two games coming up with the Spurs. No reason to add talent to this roster that might screw up the tank. Nix Tyty & Christopher get all the run and the team loses games.
You really can't spot scrubs, can you? WCS was a scrub in the G League this year. Scrub is a general insult for someone who is bad at something. It can be applied in a range of contexts, from sports to video games to dating. Regarding the latter, a scrub usually refers to a man, though women aren't exempt from the “lowlife” insult.
