Exactly this. The way he treats Sengun compared to what we see everyone else getting away with tells me that Silas either doesn’t like Sengun or believes that he’s the only one who will respond to it. I don’t know which is true, but the double standard is a bad look.

It was one of his best games.

    I just leave at that.

Now we need her to ask tough questions to Silas and not the guy being used as an escape goat.

We definitely cant single out Sengun -- He's the next LeBron. You can take a fat dump on anyone else from this roster (most of y'all already do!), but Alpie is a perfect player and if he would just get 35 minutes a game with unlimited baby hooks we would never lose. ;)

Alpe looks and sounds broken. Good job Silas, you've destroyed his confidence. These last 3 years have been a masterclass in how not to coach basketball and manage personalities.

The problem is that Silas seems to consistently single out Sengun in a negative manner and rarely anyone else despite Sengun playing objectively better on most nights. Maybe he doesn't like him or maybe he's trying it out with the love Sengun gets on social media vs the others. Who knows? I do think that SOFs are a bunch of whiny little b****es though that can go **** right off with their constant petulance.

Who should be held most accountable -- the best player on a team or the worst player? It was said that a Sengun driven offense would be enough to win games so within that thought you can live with bad defense. Sadly you cant win when you give the opponent a 50% success rate shooting 3 pointers and can only manage a sub 30% shooting night from distance yourself -- this thing looks no different than when KPJ was out there. Its just boils down to favorites among the fanbase. Whats the difference from an "iso player" creating looks for everyone that get missed and a post player that creates looks for everyone and they still miss? Aesthetic preference!

This whole team has shot the ball as bad as you can possibly shoot for a professional basketball team and compounds the problem by showing no interest in playing defense. That impacts everything you can hope to do in an open court style of play. Contrary to popular belief you cant base a modern attack offense on sub 6 foot shots while you have guys on the outside that cant make the wide open 3s especially when you fall behind by double digits. You need to have guys that can score in bunches and keep the game close in those situations.

My concern is that Sengun will be hunted in the playoffs by good offensive players particularly in PNR and 3 point isolation sequences and will be further removed by scheme when teams decide to bomb away. Its vital for not only Sengun, but the future of this team as a true contender for him to stress a defense outside of the restricted area.

Things do look different between KPJ offense and Sengun offense, just not from a winning perspective which is good.

When comparing KPJ led vs Sengun led, the offense became a little bit better while the defense became a lot worse. If you think about what this meant with KPJ going out, this means despite going from KPJ to Nix/Jaygup/TyTy our offense still got better despite KPJ being by far offensively superior in comparison. What that means in actuality is that our offense got significantly better in comparison. Can you imagine replacing Nix (worse than trash), TyTy (rookie), and Jaygup (somehow worse than Nix sometimes) with KPJ who can actually make open shots as an outlet? As for defense, it's been the same only the drop off in D between KPJ and the next closest guard is far more substantial.

KPJ going down has honestly reinforced the fact that he should have never been our playmaker but can be an incredible force as a 3&D player that takes advantage of 1v1 matchups.

Nah again that is just your fan preference. Feeding the post over and over again for easy baby hooks is cool, but its not a winning strategy when you are inept from 3 point land and your opponents use the outside shot as a weapon. Both KPJ and Sengun have been let down by their teammates inability to hit wide open shots. If guys were finishing assists for KPJ the preconceived flaw about the player would continue with the myth that this team/player "iso's too much" -- there is obvious subconscious bias going on and thats fine. If KPJ would be hovering around 8 assists per game the whole "bad playmaker" tag would not be applicable, but it takes two to tango. Same for Sengun his teammates are not making the shots he creates.

Eh didn't someone break down the math with KPJ's potential assists and applying league wide average shooting and KPJ still has like 6 assists per game?

Anyways Green has a higher offensive rating than KPJ and is the third highest behind Alpi and KMJ out of all the guys with regular rotation minutes.

Also Sengun is part of the problem when it comes to the half court spacing. His wheelhouse is in the paint. That means he isn't stretching to floor and is causing a lot of traffic for driving lanes. That is an issue with Sengun he needs to resolve. He needs the ball in his hands around the post area to be effective. If he doesn't he actually harms the offense due to the congested driving lanes.

It’s not a biased fan perception, but an actual observation backed by actual statistics. Sengun and his baby hooks are not generating less 3pt looks either. Similarly with KPJ though, shooters just aren’t hitting shots. At the same time, one thing you seem to be forgetting is that Sengun generates a lot more cutting opportunities due to having significantly better court vision.
