You may disagree with him but there is no such thing as only 1 type of '1a'.

Right now his trajectory does look like a 1a but for the worst team in the league.

It's in his best interest to play the role of a 1b or 1c to someone better so that the team could do better overall.

This daydreaming of 1As all day, we should become more practical.

He becomes a better version of himself within himself.

But he is not going to be Magic or someone impossible to reach.

An apple doesn't turn an orange.

    This is not witchcraft.

I swear people want to talk him into some kind of super player in x years.

Getting better at various aspects does not mean he'll master every fundamental.

This would have been Magic's rookie year at Green's age(2 years in college). Not saying Green will be anywhere close to him lol. Just expressing how young he is.

Also injury plagued for a young dude.

He already missed like 15 to 20 games per season if not more.

I have no idea why you attach yourself to him that much.

It will come eventually when he is meant to be great.

If not, no harm done, it is a solid 2nd pick. Shrug. Bragging rights are for children.

Rescuing the franchise from guys like Fertitta who has no interest in real development is more paramount.

He wants to squeeze money out of Wemby.

With Green you have to understand that he’s still young and learning.

It’s clearly what the organization wants and I agree with them!

Frankly the situation he is in with the tanking, and losing and terrible coaching it’s like he hasn’t even played an NBA game yet so I’m not sure what you guys were expecting!

Out of young players I personally would rather see elite potential getting to the rim and drawing contact than consistent shooting. The later can improve through repetition but being able to attack the rim at high level is more of a trait you can't learn. Its more innate because it utilizes more innate abilities like quickness and explosion. You either have those traits or don't.

Someone who works for NBA's official youtube channel really likes Green because I don't see many dedicated videos this long to one player's highlight package.

I agree with this with one caveat.

What happens on way to/once at the rim is just as important, and not just in drawing contact.

His shooting is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too inconsistent.... YET, is already good enough to be a heck of a threat and indeed can improve. But his layup package needs work immediately and MOST importantly, his ability to read the defense and use change of pace, fakes and above all make strong crisp passes to open players is of utmost importance.

JG can blow by anyone at any time. Its almost as easy for him as i've ever seen it for anyone, considering he doesn't have Steph's shooting, or Kyrie's handles or Luka's size... like he doesn't have much beyond i'm just going to blow by you... and he can fairly easily. But once by its an adventure that all too often results in forcing something... to the point the FTs, which are FANTASTIC, nonetheless feel like a bit of a bailout.

He's very polarizing as a player, to me.

I find him to be a creative finisher with a creative lay up package who will get better efficiency wise with better spacing and him just getting stronger.

I'm just trying to imagine how any elite finishing guard would look like on this Rockets offense where driving lanes and the paint area as crowded as the 610/59 interchange during rush hour.

The Houston Rockets literally and by no exaggeration have by far the worst spacing out of any NBA team.

In a sense Jalen Green is playing in a 90s level spaced offense.

The spacing is awful but ive never heard anyone else describe JGs layup package as creative.

As far as I can tell, it's all 100% speed.

How many times do you need to hear it and from who?

He has done a wide range of creative finishes.

Jalen' has one speed, fast and is almost 100% right handed.

He is a nice developing complimentary piece.

If Boston wants him as part of the Brown package, he goes, if Brooklyn asks for him for Bridges, he goes.....

Don't get too attached to anyone on this team, any of them could be gone by September.
