He did but that doesn't mean he will again.

I love your solution... just sign a guy... as if that's some brilliant plan...

Givony said nothing at all about KPJ - other that to say he would cut him, and he made an innuendo that he was a bad apple, but then admitted he doesn't watch the Rockets games when he was asked about Jabari, GIvony is a big nothing burger a recap from rumors.

Because Sam many GREAT NBA players have had issues off the court when they were young and got over it when they matured.

And all of that was before Houston - hell Patrick Beverly was kicked off Arkansas team in college too.

You said it right many great players... but to 1 great player there are 10 thousands or more pedestrian players.

He has talent but doesn't mean he is a great player or he has what it takes to be a great player.

Sounds cruel but it is the truth.

And yeah Beverly is just another player who plays harder than most.

He left at halftime about a year ago.

After he'd been given everything he wanted by the Rockets for a full year, and as a 3rd year veteran

    It's not really brilliant.

The Rockets are a **** team - the very worst, literally nothing can hurt them and if KPJ is a malign influence they should excise him.

    That's just logic.

So what? He's still the most talented young player on the Rockets roster. You don't just cut that because of one incident a year ago....or because of vague allegations that he's mean to random staffers.

Olajuwon physically assaulted both teammates and opponents plus he faked injuries to sit out games because of disputes with coaches and the FO who called him essentially a "culture" problem....should the Rockets have cut him? Of course not. You dump the coaches and the FO, it's WAY easier to find a competent coach and FO people than it is to find talent.

Now sure, KPJ is nowhere near Olajuwon level of talent, but he's currently the best the Rockets have and the allegations against him are MUCH weaker than what we know for a fact Olajuwon was doing.

At the end of the day talent is what matters and I think we both know none of this BS would be even talked about if the Rockets top draft picks the past two years were living up to the hype.

Depending on what talent Houston drafts IMO.

If Htown drafts Scoot, of course you demote KPJ or get rid of him.

    It's obvious.

His empty stats don't win you many games, he isn't mature.

He is going to be 23 and looking for a near max contract extension soon.

And there is no ill will in this post.

If not mistaken K Love said KPJ was the best talent on that Cavs squad before they sent him away faster than you can do the Ali shuffle, so it couldn't be just about talent

Of course there is no comparison because Dream had Rockets in Finals like two seasons into career so that gave him high level clout n long leash like no other, plus his game production/impact on the floor was all nba elite

Now if KPJ was cooking once a week as he did with that 50 piece against Bucks then none of this schism would be put out by the media, regardless of what their past two lotto picks were doing, the way you make it seem is that how horrible the two picks have been, then they should easily be what the media is talking about heavily and how the Rockets front office blew it and not spending time on a player they acquired that nobody else in the nba wanted to trade for besides the Rockets

The spicier and clickbait story is clearly hyped high lotto picks being busts over a player traded for the 50th or so pick

Talent that performs at all nba elite level is what keeps teams holding on, you don't trade young (elite) talent for 50th pick, unless there is something going on that is a serious problem with that said talented player, which is why the Cavs did what they did which was unfortunate but necessary from their view of judging Talent vs. Elite hardwood production(via talented player) of KPJ

I come back after a few year hiatus and people are dunking on DD, no idea what happened but damn.

On topic: KPJ hasn’t earned any goodwill from the fans. So if he’s an asshat backstage he can go somewhere else, don’t poison my sweet innocent Sengun!

Im not a KPJ fan but we should all reference facts and what has been reported instead of relying on our own perception bias and subjective comments by media personalities or writers. There has been no reporting by the major outlets that KPJ is a cancer or a disruption to the locker room or organization.

That is true, we don't know what he is yet, until he gets some hard coaching but his skills are top notch so it is smart to find out.

The best(not true) the worst team in the league has to offer. Gotta love that sales pitch!

Ok let's take it the other way around - what value can KPJ reasonably fetch in the trade market?
