He has plenty of time on the bench. Might as well do something on the phone. :D

Glad he did it. I don't mind who it is, young players, keep shooting the ball. Off shooting nights happen.
I don't like that he did it on the bench? Lmao don't they have rules against that. Kerr got on a rant 7 years ago about that.
Since the last Eric Gordon game, Sengun PnR game has disappeared from the playbook or etcha sketch.

Players have people who manage their social media accounts.

I once made a post for a friend who, after eliminating Real Madrid in a penalty shoot-out, was still giving a TV interview at the time (I was a bit drunk already). So of course people were asking "huh? how did you tweet and speak on TV at the same time"...

Sengun is a franchise player as Ricki Rubio was a franchise player.

At this point in his career, the similarities are actually quite striking. Keep in mind that Morey and the front office were offering a bounty to move up in the draft to get Rubio because his upside was that high… a lot like the Rockets two years ago viewed Sengun’s upside enough to use two firsts to get him.

At this point, the flaws are pretty stark respectively. The only question is if Sengun will overcome his liabilities like Rubio did not. Had Rubio learned how to shoot he could have been the next Chris Paul just as if Sengun can learn how to defend at a high level he could be the next Pau Gasol or Sabonis or whomever.

The only thing we should really be debating is whether or not the org should be trying a bit harder to help him improve in his gaps so he’s not another Rubio at Center, or whether they are right to be showing concern that it’s not something he can overcome anytime soon.

    What similarities?

Rubio wasn't even in the league at Alpi's current age.

So let's compare Rubio at 21 to Alpi at 20.

Rubio could not shoot AT ALL. That never really got better. He got a lot more minutes than Alpi, but his per 36 stats and all his advanced stats, net rating, etc., are way worse than Alpi's. And that was when he was a year older than Alpi is now (who is being held back and hindered by his coach, and yet became the youngest center ever to post a triple double).

P.S.: I actually like Rubio, but I don't see any similarities to Alpi. Alpi is way better at a younger age already than Rubio ever was.

No KPJ and no Green to keep the ball away.

    And no Steph or Dray.

Didn't think we'd get blown out when we have the next Jokic on our team.

Or maybe I'm just a hater since I expect Sengun to lead us to victory since he is so good.

Is Giannis also not a franchise player? or Jimmy Butler? just because a player doesn't fire a lot of 3s doesnt mean they aint any good...

the 3 point cult is the dumbest and weirdest cult of them all

    Silas is still the coach.

Hopefully, that will not be the case next season.

you are a hater because you expect him to score, defend and assist from the bench ...even when on the court he is played out of position...imagine harden playing off ball... he wouldnt be much useful at all...sengun is the PG

This is where a good coaching and system can help overcome. As other teams learned to hone in on Sengun, what's the Rocket team's counter move(s).

Did you not read the part where Morey thought he had superstar potential so he was willing to shell out a haul to draft him? The similarity is that in regards to the Rockets and the fact that there’s a major hole he’ll have to overcome.

You guys overthink things and get too defensive too fast while overlooking the obvious point.

The point being I think (and I think the Rockets thought at the time of drafting him) that he’s got real star potential but early on it’s obvious there’s a glaring hole that’ll make or break him reaching that potential. Rubio didn’t but still was a good player. Let’s ALL hope Sengun can be more than just good.
