ESPN's Jonathan Givony would cut KPJ, says Rockets locker room/culture is bad

I think most people would understand that. however the same argument was made for wood, and many saw him as a sub-allstar/high level starter, same as they see KPJ now. most people didn't think a late first was a good return for wood just like most don't think releasing kpj is fathomable.

however now you can see wood on a playoff team and his role/efficiency did not increase, instead he's a 6th man leading the bench unit. I think KPJ would be in a similar situation except there are far more guards who can do that role than their are bigs like wood, making KPJ less valuable. remember wood went for a late first and kpj is arguably/objectively less valuable than that.

add in the "culture issues" we keep hearing about and I can see how the return in a trade would be bleak, and we could conceivably just cut bait if need be this summer.

 

We all have been saying this and its been obvious. KPJ stans would never want to admit it though.

 

Wood increased his his ts% by 4 percentage points and maintains the same scoring average. Going to a better system definitely upped his efficiency

 

Hes 100% legit. Hes called multiple baseball trades before they have happened on this board. Hes brought things to light within the organization before the national media has. He may or may not have a direct tie inside the rockets org like codman did with nene but he is greatly connected with the sports scene in general.

If someone has DMed you calling him a fraud, i would reflect on why that said person said thst and if they are in fact a fraud/troll.

 

See even insiders say and see what we say and see but you cant believe. You KPJ stans are pieces of work.

 

point being he went from being valued by rockets fans as a high level starter while here, to being a 6th man on a competitive team. even with the argument that efficiency improves, his role/value was proven to decrease with that change. just like we value kpj as a high level starter, just like we think his efficiency will improve on a good team... and even if it does his role will likely decrease as did wood's... except my point being there are plenty of combo guards who can lead bench units making kpj less valuable than a floor spacing big who can do that like wood. and less valuable than a late first (which was wood's trade value) is not so much value that one couldn't consider waiving him if need be.

 

He literally is scoring near the exact same outpit albeit on lower shot attempts but that proves my point. Wood has benefited a lot from a better system

 

Or the third group that doesn't care about the situation he is in.

His value is at a low and it won't get much higher, might as well ride it out short term.

Just avoid being the charity that accepts broken players like him, Wood or Royce White next time.

It's ridiculous to call anyone a "fraud" based on their interpretation of essentially a Rorschach test. If you want to believe that everything is KPJ's fault, you can find a way to see that. It doesn't make anyone a fraud, it just shows a bias.

For what it's worth, I don't think there's any way Nook would be just making things up, even if I don't agree with the analysis attached to them.

 

It's also not true, I just looked through their tweets.

Kpj is the household project of Stone and Silas. He will be abandoned only when they are. Contrary to Sengun

 

I think this teams problem is everybody trying to make name for themselfs from top to bottom, and not really anyone with a name who can guide

 

I can’t believe anyone would have attachments this hardcore to any of these players. It’s like Sengun and KPJ delivered their first born child or something.

I don’t think people realize in 5 years none of these players are likely to be Rockets. But most of us will still be here joshing it up.
