Korean game show that's like Squid Game minus death mixed with American Ninja Warrior. They bring in all types of athletes and physiques. MMA, Crossfit, Olympians, models, bodybuilders, powerlifters, military personnel just about every type of "fit" body is represented. Then they play games trying to eliminate each other, it's really interesting. You can tell there is quite a bit of respect between the competitors and the "quests" don't just favor one type of athlete. There's also a bit of mindgame that goes with it, not just physical prowess. I think it's awesome and terrific motivation for working out in the garage.

    Anyone?

They had the women compete with men which is crazy. they didn't even try to even it out, lol. if the men have to lift 100kg the women have to lift it too. I enjoyed it. I need a season 2 maybe a US version.

I've been watching it. Honestly, the competitions drag on a little too long and become repetitive. They could be edited down a bit, cut out the losers and focus on the winner's personalities to build some buy-in.

The biggest head-scratcher is how all of the other contestants are in awe of an Olympic Skeleton racer.

When he walked out in the first episode, they were all whispering about him and I thought, this guy must be some badass boxer or MMA fighter or maybe Olympic gymnast. Nope, he races a sled in the Olympics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm guessing they appreciate how dangerous that sport is.

yeah I watched the whole series on 1.5x speed. and I agree with the repetitive edits they would cut to 3 different reactions for the same scene!

I think they were in awe of this guy because I think its a big deal to compete in the Olympics in Korea. I think he and his partner were the only ones on the cast to be Olympians. ALSO, homie was fast as hell to be so big.

I liked they focused on some of the losers because you weren't sure who was going to make it. I thought the German guy was going to make it far the way they edited him.

Out of all of the people who walked in, famous military spec ops, MMA fighters, etc, they single a sled racer out? It's incongruous. Not saying the guy doesn't deserve the respect, but in that field, he's not at another level. Maybe he's a celebrity there which boosts his standing with those folks.

I went ahead and skipped to final episode, then proceeded to skip chunks at time to see he winners. 10 minutes later, realized reality TV shows are still not for me.

It's good, I did have to fast-forward during some of the competitions which ran a little long. I liked the greek mythology and am curious to see how the show develops new competitions if/when it's renewed.

A US version or having a new country, using their native terrain each season would be interesting as well.

really enjoyed it. could have gone with less hanging above water tho. they skipped a lot of the first 1on1 game and cut out contestants i wanted to see. the editing is kinda questionable.

weird that the winner was not covered at all. did they do it on purpose for the element of surprise?

i was rooting hard for the first team captain that got eliminated via skeleton racer in the sand game. also rooted for the rugby finalist. season 2 they should just do away with women tbh frfr.

one thing i took away from this 9 episodes is that if miracuru can be korean, so can i.

I appreciated that some of the games didn't necessarily matter if you were stronger (obvious advantage to men), the 1st quest even sort of penalized the heavyweights but the Atlas stone one was kinda like... kinda.... not cool lol the winner held it up for 2 hours she couldn't even put it up on her shoulder.

I don't think there would ever be a woman winning this show but I liked that they competed together.
.....that guy was jacked as ****. Besides they all gave each other props the whole show. Homie was ripped you can't deny.
Bro can you do a flip tho?

They don't cover the winner of most shows like this on episode one. I actually thought they did a decent job of trying to tell 100 stories in 9 episodes.

South Korea only won 5 gold medals in the Pyeongchang Olympics and his was the only one not in speed skating. It's a big deal for them.

Finished it tonight. The pace definitely picks up as there are less people. The editing is still a tad annoying with the constant repeats of reactions.

I see why the Skeleton racer was the big **** there. They seem to really venerate Winter Olympics contestants and he did win the gold. As others said, he’s also jacked Af and is probably a celebrity and sex symbol there.

Definitely worth a watch, even if you ffw or just skip episodes 1-3. I’ll watch another season if it comes out.
