    I watched about 10 minutes of ASW in total: Jabari in the skills challenge and 1st round of dunk contest for KJ

    the ASG just gets worse every year and now it’s unwatchable…this new generation of players just isn’t gonna even pretend to try no matter how many gimmicks or tweaks Adam Silver comes up with

    Is there another reason to like McClung even more? Yes, he is freaking Merry from LOTR. I kept wondering who the hell that he looks like when they were interviewing him and it’s been killing me all weekend, and then yesterday LOTR came on. Lol

    Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game was the lowest rated and least-watched edition of the game, per
    @paulsen_smw
    • Ratings declined 29% and viewership 27% from last year’s All-Star Game
    • The record-low audience places the NBA All-Star Game well behind this year’s NFL Pro Bowl
    • This year’s declines are the steepest for the game since 2000

    I haven't watched this **** in years and will never.

    I would rather watch a pickup game at Rucker Park than a bunch of whiny ass millionaires run around like pansies who don't want to be there.

    haha karma

    Adam silver has taken what David stern created and run it into the ground.

    he turning the game we all grew up on into an arcade basketball league. There are about 8 players averaging over 29 ppg currently which can largely be attributed to the elimination of the “take foul” which was a strategic play to stop a fastbreak. It’s common now to see nba teams score over 140 ppg in regulation

    also he ruined the east vs west traditional format of the all star game because his buddy LeBron kept losing.

    now Adam silver wants to add an in season tournament( what could possibly go wrong)

    the best thing Adam has done this far as commishner is add the play-in tournament

    and the worst part is that we have to wait a week after that garbage is over to resume the regular season. So our last taste of basketball was that shitty scrimmage masquerading as a all star game

    The fans stopped caring because the players stopped caring. They don't even pretend to want to be there so why watch?

    The ELAM ending is still fun, though.

    The first "Elam Ending" all star game in 2020 was great. I don't know if it was an outpouring of emotion post-Kobe death or what. Harden actually had the walk off 3 waved off after a Kyle Lowry flop, because of course he did. He actually played harder on defense at the end of that game than he does most regular season nights now.
