Now that's some wishful thinking. Luka in his second year was putting up prime Harden production in offense my dude.

Sengun can't even have a game of having 20 fga because his range is so limited. NBA defenses have to plan the entire half court defense around Luka. Luka spreads the floor. Sengun is the literal opposite of a floor spacer. He is part of why our driving lanes are as congested as the 59 and 610 exchange during rush hour.

U know i love Sengun and i think he will be an all star player maybe one day mvp player in this league. But luka is on another tier. Luka is on same tier like mj and lebron. There are star player, super stars and then there are the goats like mj, lebron and luka. If luka wanna get tradet and Rocjets would give a offer for him dallas would wanna sengun, green, jabari, kj, tari and this jears pick, all nets picks and all rockets picks till 2030 unprotected dont think dallas would take the offer but this would be rockets best offer.

If a team wanna get luka they might sell whole franchise with all their good players and picks

My point exactly. How could you say that? Look at what Luka did in his 2nd year. Houston would ship him out for Luka in a heartbeat

Y’all claim I’m not a real fan bc I want to trade Sengun for a star, but @AroundTheWorld is a real fan? He wouldn’t trade Sengun and the Brooklyn picks for Luka bc he’s that obsessed with Sengun. That means he wouldn’t want what’s best for the rockets. That’s a cheap ass trade package for Luka, we would have to throw Jabari, Tari, and KJ in it too.

In other words, when (not if) Eli is gone, Sengun being traded is a very possible scenario. Neither Stone nor Silas seems to value him very much.

I like Sengun a lot and hope he stays. But if they aren't going to build a team that can maximize his talent, then I can see how it ends. That's just too bad.

Umm, I just said we would have to consider it (but Dallas wouldn't, so it's purely a hypothetical question anyway).

    Reading comprehension...

No **** it’s a hypothetical question. The answer should’ve been a hell yeah I would make that trade. Like wtf do you mean we’d have to consider it? You’re delusional if you think Sengun can be the level of an impact player as Luka. You’re smarter than that, you’re just really obsessed with Sengun to the point where he comes before the team

Umm you asked if I would do that trade, I said I would consider it, then you said I said I wouldn't do it.

Everyone can see that you are all over the place, making stuff up, and quite obsessed with your Sengun hate.

I would consider it is not YES, which should’ve been your answer. The fact that you followed it up by saying “you think he can be as impactful” is basically you leaning no. Don’t ever say you’re not a SOF ever again

I would consider it, because it depends on what else would be in the deal.

My assumption is that Sengun can be as good and impactful as Jokic in 2-3 years from now, given the opportunity. That's just what I believe. You are free to disagree, but it is not a crazy assumption - 20 year old Sengun is producing very similar stats to 20 year old Jokic.

(And Sengun has already easily beaten the - very low - expectations you and others had of him. Basically, you said he sucks and "**** Sengun". He hasn't been featured or prioritized by the Rockets at all, and still, he has been our best and most consistent player.)

Then you have to ask yourself, what is that worth, if you have someone who has the potential to be as good as Jokic in 2-3 years?

Jokic and Doncic have the same number of championships so far, and before last year, Doncic never got his team out of the first round. I don't know, but I don't think Denver would trade Jokic for Doncic. Arguably, their value is very similar.

Since I believe that Sengun can be as good as Jokic in 2-3 years, it's not as simple as a "Hell yes" to me.

Dallas wouldn't consider it anyway at this point, but in the hypothetical, if they were to want Sengun, Green, Jabari and all our picks we can trade for the next 10 years, no, I would not, because I am confident Sengun will be as good as Jokic in 2-3 years from now, and I also think Green and Jabari will improve, and these picks will be valuable (potentially very valuable, 14 % chance at Wemby, almost a 30 % chance at either Wemby and Scoot this year).

Let’s see how some real fans would respond. @Reeko @Dobbizzle would y’all trade Sengun and our Brooklyn picks for Luka? Just a hypothetical

There is some oddity there for sure. What the rockets is doing with Sengun does not match what they did to acquire him. But Sengun was not an unproven prospect. MVP at a young age at a strong european league is as much guarantee you can get to a role player. A lot of people had him going top 10. His ceiling was questionable but his floor was pretty much guaranteed.

I’d be speeding through rush hour traffic to deliver Sengun to the airport myself

hopefully he takes all the SOFs with him as carry on luggage

Hollinger had him as #1 based on analytics.

    He will be proven right.

I get it, it’s your belief. I’m telling you know, it’s not happening!!! He’s not gonna be an about to be 3rd time MVP caliber player. Also, I’ve always felt like he’d be good on offense

a SOF will tell u that Sengun is already better than James Harden and he’s above average defensively

If that’s the case, where the wins at?? Why do we keep getting our ass whipped nightly when we already have a player that good?

It's not just an irrational belief.

It's certainly not certain that Sengun will continue on the same trajectory as Jokic, and some of Jokic's advanced stats at 20 were even better than Sengun's, but it's also not crazy to think that Sengun could become similarly valuable to Jokic. Don't forget that Sengun is still really young.

These are their stats at age 20.
