    :D

Who are they trying to fool? Once Sengun is traded, we won’t be seeing them anymore, and thank God.

You probably also thought Green would be our best player.

And then you thought Jabari would be our best player.

    lol

Sengun was certainly more proven than Green, actually. He played in a much better league, and was MVP there, at a younger age.

I am unsure how this has anything to do with what I said?

Hakeem94 and sengoat competing with each other on who loves sengun the most with their nonstop pro sengun posts/thread.

All I know is I'm glad we have sengun on our team bc I see greatness in him but I sure won't miss these sengun only fans if sengun ever leaves the rockets. It's literally 24/7 kissing senguns a$$ for these folks.

You said that the front office took a chance on an "unproven" Sengun. I agree with that, and that is great. Just saying that Green was actually more "unproven" than Sengun.

Kind of similar to how Doncic was actually more "proven" than Trae Young...but Atlanta didn't see it that way.

OK? Still not sure how any of this has to do with bringing in Green.

No, Scoot would very quickly be the leader of the team and the best player on the Rockets. He carries himself differently, he is extremely dedicated, confident and competitive. He has been an adult and a professional for years. Will he be an all star as a rookie? Probably not, but he will make the Rockets better immediately and he will be the one with the ball in his hands taking big shots.

Henderson goes #1 in a lot of drafts. He is similar to Derrick Rose and John Wall as a prospect, and a lot of scouts have him equal to Cunningham coming out.

Is he Wemby? No, but he has a good chance to be an elite player.

He also has improved on his weaknesses from last year and is a hard worker.

Henderson seems likely to be a star but I would expect a rocky start. His 3pt shot is very shaky prior to shooting well on 17 total attempts this season. He is a little turnover prone and too in love with the mid range. An unknown defensively since they don't play defense in the G League. You have to give him a year or two before he's actually competing to be the best player on the team but I agree he has a great character about him that makes it likely he becomes a leader on the team.

    Would dramatically improve our roster.

But I’ve seen Jalen takeover and carry us to wins. When has Sengun done that?

Sampson was a similar level of prospect, and was a better prospect that Hakeem or Jordan. If you want to include Sampson in the list that is fair, but it doesn't really change the wider point that we have not had a prospect like this in 20 years (LeBron James) and prospects like this come around about every 20 years or so.

    Actually yes.

As ****** up as it is, yes I do believe that.

Sengun is on the Rockets because Eli REALLY wanted him and talked Stone into dealing up to get him.

Henderson may not statistically be the best player on the Rockets his first season, but I do believe he would in fact actually be the best player. He is the type of player that really makes a big difference.

Hopefully we get to find out ..... I would be quite happy with Henderson.

I do not believe we will be trading Sengun short of being forced to include him in a trade package for a star level player, regardless of whether we get Wemby or not. Sengun is at minimum a solid role player in the league and a potential core player right now. Even if we do get Wemby and he doesn't mesh with Sengun, we can always delegate Sengun to a 6th man role.

Now, as far as why it would be Sengun instead of Wemby, the answer is athletic potential. I have said it before, but Sengun is nothing special in the NBA from a physical perspective. In some ways, he is actually below average and regardless of how his ardent fans try to brush it off, this sort of limitation is a high wall to overcome in the league. Wemby on the other hand, is the type of generational physical unicorn that teams will compete to tank for.

I think Sengun has the potential to be similarly impactful to Luka in a few years. As of now, one would have to consider it. But Dallas wouldn't.
