TX is a red state, but only relevant because of its blue cities

Without Houston, Austin, and Dallas, what is TX? A useless flyover state with nothing going for it like Mississippi or Alabama.

even those people who “flee” liberal states like California to come to TX, they’re not settling in Lubbock and Waco…that’s not a thing

If there was a divorce the red states would have half their population starve once food stamps were eliminated, crime would rise since people would need food. No medicaid or Medicare so half population would die. They wouldn't last 50 years unless they made serious changes.

It would really suck to be a city dweller in a red state.

How about all the angry, crazy-ass Trumper types just move to Alaska? Plenty of space, outdoorsy **** to do and oil jobs. There’s also a legit need for lifted 4x4 trucks. Lastly, troll-women like MTG would have their choice of lonely men because the ratio after the exodus couldn’t be less than 20-1.

And just when you thought her path couldn't lead down an even dumber direction...

That damn pesky Constitution ruins everything.

Im on board if we can build a huge Trumpian wall around whatever s**thole new country MTG and her friends live in and we lock the gate and throw away the key. Call it Redneckistan.

She can then bang rocks together and rage about Jewish Space Lasers as much as she wants in total isolation from civilization.

Most states aren't evenly divided red or blue, while all big cities are mosly liberal leaning. Crap like this is increasingly catnip for dead end red staters.

I think red folks are more able to fight than blue folks though. At least for the first couple years.

An american civil war wouldn't just be between red and blue folks though.

The military would get involved and would splinter and then other countries would also get involved by supporting their side like last time.. It would be a pretty massive thing of course but wouldn't just be like oh the red americans got their guns and the libs are all soy fueled.

I question the degree of involvement from other nations when we can nuke the world a thousand times over.

Maybe the military would fill in that power gap, though I'm more inclined to believe they'd enforce a right wing type of order.

The military will splinter like 70% towards team red, 10% towards team blue and 20% towards team "I'm getting the **** out of here".

And that's the scary thing about a right vs left civil war. The guys with the guns disproportionately support the right from law enforcement to rural gun nuts.

no need for a Civil War…let all the right wingers get a designated piece of land and go live there and govern themselves

since they want to secede so badly, bye…see ya

collective IQ of that nation would be Alaskan winter temp levels…the brain drain would be off the charts

no scientist, doctor, teacher, etc is going to live in GOP territory if they have a choice

but hey, there won’t be any woke or gay people, so I guess they’ll have that going for them

I just wonder who they’ll blame once a majority of the left and minorities are gone and GOP territory is still an absolute sh*thole with nothing going for it.

How many Trumpers and other crazy Republicans don’t have a dime in their pocket and tumbleweed in their savings and investment accounts? Acting like none of them use welfare or rely on the government to survive. Well, GOP nation’s government won’t be helping u. Strap yourself up by the bootstraps I guess.

We're entering "**** around and find out" territory for all the separatist goobers on the left and right.

For real, who are the left wing separatists? People on the left will generally hypothesize about going to Canada or Europe when they're really unhappy but they don't talk about armed civil war. That's pretty much a right wing thing (and that too a Southern and Western thing). Even in the Midwest, you don't hear the separatism nonsense from the right.

The only people who talk about this stuff are southerners who want to re-litigate the civil war and militia types in western states. And even then, the objectives are totally different. The militia types are really an anti-government movement while the Southerners want some sort of red state country.

People from both sides encourage their disgruntled ideological opponents to succeed.

People from both sides threaten to leave the country every time their candidate doesn't win the Presidency.

The left leans more toward "I'm leaving the country" while the right leans more toward "I'm leaving the union", but both of those attitudes are bad for civic cohesion.
