Would take a LOT of draft compensation to get bridges, are you willing to do alpi and all the nets picks for him? idk that i would trade all those picks

Well SOFs been saying he’s a future MVP, so we should get bridges for him straight up :)

The Rockets getting Wemby or Henderson would be the absolute best thing to happen to Sengun.

Game recognizes game and both Wemby and Henderson are competitive winners.

Henderson is a very underrated passer and creator. He also is big into fundamentals and structure… that fits well with Sengun. Henderson also is very good at passing inside the circle.

As for Wemby, defensively he is PERFECT next to Sengun because he makes up for the defensive weaknesses that Sengun has. Wemby also can work the two man game very well.

The worst thing to happen to Sengun would be for the Rockets to miss out on the top of this draft and run it back.

Hey I like to look at it a little more positive… there is almost a 1:3 chance of getting Wemby or Henderson.

Obviously Wemby is preferred but Henderson would immediately be the best player on the Rockets as well and would help immeasurably.

If you throw in Thompson and Miller, and now the odds are like 55% we get one of those 4…. Of course our overwhelming most likely scenario is we get the #5 pick and the best of the “others” and the fans feel like it was a wasted season.

The context of these comments is lost.

He doesn’t want to play center offensively. He likes having the ball in his hands. Having said that, he Has played center offensively a lot this season where they set him up in the middle of the paint. Defensively he can say he is a point guard, it doesn’t matter because he is going to end up blocking shots, cutting on penetration and absolutely wrecking havoc.

He is one of the 5 best prospects in NBA history. Wilt Chamberlein, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James are the only players with a similar level of talent at this stage.

If Wemby wants to play a particular way, then he will get to play that way. This isn’t a normal situation - someone like him comes around every 25 years.

He will be 19 years old next season and will likely be a top 20 player in the league.

A top 5 pick or a chance to get Wemby by getting a bottom 5 teams lottery pick? If I can make my chance of getting Wemby go from 14% to 28%, then I definitely do it…. Same with improving chance to get Henderson (who is REALLY good).

I like Sengun and he is smart, but the top 2 in this draft is too good to pass up.

The concern with Sengun is the same concern I had with Banchero.

Elite finisher/rebounder high above the rim, floor stretcher, versatile defender that can defend on the perimeter and the PnR. These are far and away the most important abilities for a 4/5 in the modern NBA. If you aren't doing any of these things well, or outright poorly, you are gonna create a roster construction issue even if you are very skilled with the ball and can put up quality stats.

I'm not sure what his ceiling is as an offensive focal point, but building an offense around him is likely his only path to being a main player on a contender. A lineup that merely incorporates him will be tricky. Building a team with him and Jalen Green is gonna demand a lot of heavy lifting defensively from the other 3 on the floor.

I dont want to make a big deal out of his comments because i dont know what he meant exactly. Wasnt trying to indicte him. Thats why i phrased my first point as a question.

But as far as him getting to play the whatever way he wants, im not really down with that. Im not old enough to remember Wilt or kareem but i can somewhat remember Shaq coming in and I was in highschool when Lebron came in. I dont remember either of those guys talking about what they didnt want to do on the court.

I get it once you're established and you've proven yourself, but im just not a fan of a guy talking about how he doesnt want to play a specific position.

I mean, rookie magic was out there playing center to help his team win.

I prefer that type of attitude of "im here to help the team win and ill play wherever is best for that to happen"

I don't buy it. Sengun isn't going anywhere, next year or the year after, in my opinion. He may decide to change teams at some point, when he's able to, or try to push for a trade if the organization doesn't change direction from what we've suffered through for 2 and going on 3 seasons. I hope not. I'm a fan of the Rockets first, but also a fan of Alpe and moving him, in my opinion, would be lunacy. I hope we continue to develop the kid, and don't end up watching another team benefit from what we cast away.

With all due respect, more stupidity. He's not worth that. Not now, odds on, not ever. Doesn't mean he isn't going to be a hell of a lot better down the road than he is now. I think he has a high ceiling, certainly on the offensive end of the court.

Some claim that he does not want to play center automatically means Sengun will be moved?! People really post some weird crap.

It’s the coach that puts together the offense and defense. JVG cut years off Yao Ming’s career trying to turn him into Patrick Ewing. We need coaching not just a good coach but the right fit. It’s hard to say what is best with so many variables. Rick Adelman’s dream player was Yao type of skill set / package, they never got to work together, it’s more than just a position it’s the system. MDA has been successful everywhere he had been because he uses the players strengths to hide the weaknesses of other players. IMO his best work was with NYK.

Scoot would immediately be our best player? You’re overrating him like a mf. I’m guessing you don’t actually watch his games, but cherry-pick his highlight on YouTube. Scoot would be our 3rd or 4th best player early on. He’s not a can’t miss prospect, I can’t see a world where he’s completely ass in the NBA

Scoot would be our second best player, behind Sengun.

    As would Wemby.

that is hyperbole. Ralph Sampson was just as hyped as Wemby.

As Rockets sucks, I won't surprise if Alp is traded.

Current Rockets is just good enough to employ Theis, Bruno, Kaminsky, Derrick Favours type of players. Anyone better than this bunch of players to play for Rockets is waste of talent.

Keeping Alp needs a kind of organizational intelligence which does not happen in Houston nowadays.

Alp and Tari are too much for Rockets. As a Rockets fan I want to see both of them as long term Houstonians but it is better to trade them for sake of basketball.

Current Rockets is negligible, coached by the worst HC and reflected by biased media. Rockets is a pathethic loser at the moment and no one wants to play for it. Why Alp and Tari should be different?

Gotta love all that "we" and "as a Rocket fan" BS when these guys were nowhere to be found prior to Sengun! Where was the love for Omer Asik?? :D:D:D

So, let me get this straight... you believe that the FO which was intelligent enough to recognize the value of and trade UP for Sengun as an unproven prospect with first round picks is at the same time NOT smart enough to recognize the value of said player?
