From what we've heard this is something that has been a long term issue so if I'm Alvarez I say great and get a second if not a third opnion. Maybe he did but I didn't hear that from Dusty.

It's like that old meme video of the orthopedic surgeon trying to convince the anesthesiologist to do a surgery on a patient who is already dead. 'There is a fracture. I need to fix it."

If only Bagwell had surgery his arthritis wouldn't have ended his career. As far as I know, Arthritis isn't cured with surgery. But some on this board think EVERYTHING is cured with surgery.

In this case, I'm wondering if there is something genetic like Primary Tremors that is affecting his hand. My initial thought was checking his swing, but that shouldn't recur when resting.

Looking way ahead, here is the list of good players (project for >2+ fwar) with 3 or less years of control remaining who are on teams with a projected less than 30% chance of making the playoffs:

    SS Tim Anderson
    3B Yoan Moncada
    C Yasmani Grandal*
    SP Lucas Giolito*
    SP Lance Lynn*
    C Salvador Perez*
    OF Austin Meadows
    SS Javy Baez
    2B Tony Kemp
    IF Jean Segura
    IF Joey Wendle
    C Jacob Stallings
    3B Jeimer candelario
    OF Ian Happ*
    OF Cody Bellinger
    SP Marcus Stroman
    1B Christian Walker
    C Carson Kelly*
    SP German Marquez*

Doesn’t include relievers but that’s probably a good start on the list of good players that might be available at this years deadline. I’ve asterisked the guys I think Houston will be interested in.

Nah, he’s young (natural testosterone) in his prime and is a dedicated athlete.

Makes more sense now. I was thinking Michael Jordan and it didn't make sense.

Really not surprising. This is part of his personality and work ethic.

He works VERY hard, is very driven and he works VERY smart.

He has built his body in a very smart way. He has done a tremendous amount of flexibility exercises, usually light weight at heavy repetitions and has really strong cardio.

This is a big reason the Astros drafted him where the did, after a middling college career.

I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes an all star soon.

He is one of those people that accomplishes more in one day than some do in 3-4 days.

I don't know what the issue is with his wrists. I asked someone about it and they downplayed it and said that Yordan gets stiff and sore.

As for his knees, I know he is very happy with the results of the surgery and would have had it years ago but was in Cuba and also was trying to establish himself to get enough money to survive. He has that now, so my hope is that if the wrists are bad enough that he has surgery - but we don't even know if he needs it.

If you thought Jordan you should have understood

We're talking Yordan and Air Yordan has been repeated in this forum... and the internet

I could be wrong but it seems he should've had offseason surgery

    Covid announcement incoming

You could be right and I hope you're right

But are you at minimum open to the possibility it could be something extra going on?
