Extremely misleading. It’s sorted by FG%. Should be sorted by EFG% so the fact that 3 point jump shots are worth more is factored in. This would make Sengun plummet down the list.

Just as a comparison. Two extremely low volume jump shooters….

Sengun is 42.9% FG on 119 attempts
Tucker is 41.2% FG on 112 attempts

But effectively when you factor in 3>2…..
    Sengun is 47.9%
    Tucker is 56.6%

Alpi seems like such a fun loveable guy who wants to make others happy just like his idol Jokic but his crazed fans are going to create further division for him from the fans due to the Yao/Lin factor. Obsessive turks or obsessive great white hopefuls. Rooting only for him at others expense and trashing every single rocket to lift Alpi up.

Then you got the Jalen vs KPj thing going on which really is just a cover up. KPj is just the resident contrarions choice for argument. Whats truly still at the heart of it is Jalen v Mobley.

Thing is none of this internal fan segregation/separation ends with Ws. It keeps going. If we succeed because of one player, some will root for his failure so their guy can take us even further etc.

I bet the French will add a dark, moody, suicidal feel to the GARM if we got Wemby and we still suck.

What a melting pot of suckage.

@tinman i know their weren't any Rockets forums to get a sense of it, but were fans like this during and before 93-94? Maybe at the bars? Player only fans? Throwing certain players under the bus so someone else could benefit? Kenny vs Cassell arguments? Great white hope for Air Bullard and Scotty and Chili Pete?
I wasn't old enough to go to bars yet. What was it like when we lost to Seattle and the years before that?
I was 11 and I loved every single Rocket, but adults have this crushed by life attitude that changes them. The adults around me personally loved every Rocket too. The fans at the games seemed to get super hype for every player too. Only thing i can think of is Draft night and not getting the fan favorite players.
What changed? And why were the 90s so much better? In 99ers we trust.

Well I only hung around rockets fans back in the day , we only had free tv so the majority of us can only watch cbs (when it had nba ) and then nbc and channel 20 @Rocket River
    @heypartner
Everyone loved all the players except for Buck Johnson
And the non ‘Rockets only fans’ were Lakers or Celtics fans. The only player only fans were Jordan.
Jordan really started the player only thing

My dad always had one of those illegal cable black boxes haha and i was a Jordan fan and a Rockets fan first, but yes, Jordan brought more casual non bball fans to the game than anyone else. I remember i was watching the 92 Finals on youtube when a tech was working on my internet connection and he said "Is that Michael Jordan? Wow. Me and my family used to watch basketball just to see him. We've never seen a basketball game since." That's what he did for the NBA and the ratings reflect that, but that also means a lot of casuals got to learn who the **** the DR34M was.

hahah thank you of course i am well aware of this and the same table was already discussed in this or the other thread as well, as well as that every other statistics is misleading in some way which always eludes you, making you not the real scientist! LOL THE IRONY!

but this is all about flashes, as it says in the tweet, he showed us flashes of jumpshooting ability...not an absolute fact...just that he can hit it that jumper at a decent rate...as a player taking only 10 shots a game, and never really relying on jumpshooting to score because hes such a skillfull player that he can get to the rim whenever he likes, this is huge...

when he will be taking 15 shots a game or even more he ll have a lot of shots to brush his jumpshot even more and not take himself and the team out of rhythm like the selfish guys like KPJ Wood or Jalen do...
chances are he will be even better at it because he only ever played only a dozen of real full NBA games and these shots will be taken in better rhythm...he is basically still in his rookie season!

specifically because he is never rushing it, always taking his time and looking for the perfect moment (THIS IS ANOTHER MARK OF WINNING players/shooters)..he really is a lot like CP3

he also showed us he can hit the 3s and the FTs and now this!?

he definitely showed us he has that jumpshot and it will be wet with more experience and greater usage

this is all that really is to this tweet

Magic and Bird started it, Jordan perfected it :D

In all seriousness though, I never, not once, EVER heard fans at games, bars or watch parties at houses trash other Rocket players just to prop up their favorite player or their agenda. I've only read that garbage online and in the last 15 years or so.

The only relatable feeling for me is watching the All-Star Game. Couldn’t give damn for Team West, only wanted Dream to do well, getting mad when they wouldn’t pass him the ball or when he was not in the game…

This. Have been a Rocket fan since I moved to Houston in 1984 and still am while living in Tennessee. I think it is more of a function of society as a whole that with the internet playing such a prominent role that instant gratification is now the norm, rather than patience and learning to work towards a goal over time. Not saying the patient approach is always better, but impatience in almost every aspect of life is more pre-dominant in today’s society. This forum is a reflection of that mindset.

I wish someone that is a better writer than I am say something about this. The amount of bickering, insults, and general negativity is astounding. Even with the volume of wins for the Harden years, it was there.

In addition, the posters that are negative about players, and insulting to other posters (hakeem94, bobbythegreat) repeat themselves a million times. Are put on ignore by seemingly a ton of posters enjoy the attention. Are not really here to engage with other fans but simply here to annoy. Weird hobby

We all wanted to see Jordan
The genius David Stern decided to market players instead of teams and promote culture like rap music and sneakers

You only saw dream when he was on tv which was rare
So when the rockets in 94 beat the knicks
People were shocked cause the media said Ewing was the best center for all these years

    oh no
