After all this time and so many occurances, "it’s not going something that’s going to be an issue during the season." does not sound reasonable.

Now, he was plenty effective Babying it throughout the 2nd half last year, but it could be an issue like his knees where after years of dealing with it they need to just fix it.

If he needs some surgery to make the big picture brighter, get it done now.

Looking at 2023-2028, the team's best chance to win with Alvarez hurt for a long stretch is the first half of 2023 with Brantley here to DH.

 

I see stuff like this and I wonder why the eff did he not just have surgery in the offseason.

I have paid attention to this all last year. Never found out exactly what the injury is specifically.

 

190 pounds for 6 foot athlete isn't that heavy.

 

Possible the actual medically trained doctors said it wasn't necessary and he followed their suggestion?

 

Not everything is resolved by surgery.
