Seems like Alperen Sengun will be traded soon or later

Y'all have been so conditioned to the Harden/Lebron offensive system.

The late 90's/early aughts Sacramento team had two semi ball-dominant bigs in Weber and Divac who were elite or above avg level passers. They surrounded them with good shooters who were also viable passers and at times athletic enough to get to the basket.

Even in a era where you can play zone, that scheme can be modified to work especially with the added spacing from the 3 pt shot.

The issue would be how to structure a defensive system with fail safes that won't overwork Wemby.

 

PG = Harden

 

Wemby playing PF actually is the idea, you know, next to Sengun! Jabari can play the 3 and Jabari & Wemby fighting for the 4 spot is actually great.

 

OP "Did you hear anything about Sengun being traded?"

Pretty much, this is the desired lineup I have for next year.

PG...Van Vleet, Harden, Some other experienced PG is what I want but that lineup could develop into something nice. So much length.

 

It doesn't matter who the Rockets draft this year.

Nobody is worth getting rid of Sengun.

 

He very well might be, anyone on this team might be traded.

Sengun stuff aside....

1) Id like to know what he means by he doesnt want to play center. Is it the offensive responsibilities or does he not want ro defend and rebound in the paint like a center? Because not every team plays their center the same way. Jokic and embiid arent used the same way as rudy gobert on either side of the court.

2) Not a fan of guys who havent even been drafted talking about what they dont want to do. At least see what your nba head coach has in mind because it might not be waht you expect and it could be whats best for the team.

 

Sengun can actually play PF . He just needs to work on his three point shot this offseason.

Who cares what he “wants?” Draft him. And figure it out. If it doesn’t work then you consider who to trade. But no rookie is coming in demanding they be anything. That’s kind of our problem already — we let the patients run the asylum.

 

Sometimes I wonder if they still teach logic in high school.

Anyway, it's funny that both Sengun lovers and Sengun haters want him gone.

 

If we get a better guy than AP, just build around him. It is not a difficult question.
