I have no problem with minority voices being heard…Don Lemon from CNN had 5 fantastic things that should be done to uplift his community in the other thread, …I appreciate that being sent and I hope the black community hears his voice .

But I also care about stories …Give me a story where it can be traditional family with a mother and father…imagine that….imagine a black cop father …imagine the uncle makes poor choices and their is consequences for poor choices. Sign me up if every woke show or cartoon can approach into the spiderverse but we clearly know in every shape and form they are miles apart. This is why Velma failed . Go woke, get broke

Sure everyone says that, but in reality they don't care - in fact most people are threatened by the success of minorities and usually dismiss them as an artifact of diversity measures versus seeing them as having earned what they have.

Racism is real. And some people use it as a crutch to explain all their failures in life, and some people put their head in the sand and want to believe we live in a completely post-racial culture. Neither is true. But it is real and it does hinder people in achieving success.

Woke shows don't really matter at the end of the day. It's all a diversion. If a show is good, it will survive, if it's not, it won't. Whether it is "woke" or not who gives an F. Only people threatened by it I suppose, which is amusing to watch I must admit.

Full on wokeness is in the same category as nonsensical …It’s amusing and it’s funny to watch the failure of shows that slant woke…is it threatening? Not specifically, I guess in the same way that anything nonsensical would be threatening then yes. .. I think it’s wrong for you further to say everyone says that but in reality they don’t care …this seems awfully generic as a statement. Similar to all cops are bad right but we know they’re not and it’s OK for a show like into the spider verse to portray a black cop as a hero

when we know a woke show would never never never never do that. That’s part of the threat is that we see woke cartoons and shows that portrayed aspects of society that is not in actuality…You literally have people that think cops are out to get them when they’re just trying to do their jobs more times than not. Again if you could make every woke show or cartoon like into the spider verse I would absolutely welcome it but we know it’s not work because it does not follow the agenda

We do know Velma follows the agenda but guess what it failed thankfully

The show failed not because they made Velma Indian which is stupid and belittling to me, but because it was a bad show. This is a big thing that a lot of conservatives miss when they cry about wokeness. The market will correct it all. Hollywood is in the business of making money, like all businesses are. At the end of the day, they produce a lot of crap "woke" and "not woke". If they want to try an pander to minority groups to make a buck, that's their right as a business trying to make a buck.

I think it's nonsensical for conservatives who espouse letting the markets decide things, are now all of a sudden upset about "woke culture" in hollywood destroying movies they love versus just letting it self regulate.

See, I'm here to call out hypocrisy, nothing more. ;)

They also forgot the main character that made the franchise a success

    The talking dog

but this is what the woke people do
They use franchises to push their ideology not to tell stories
Look at Star Wars and Disney marvel

    they suck now
If a black woman gets stabbed by a darth Vader
    She won’t die
